This April 14th release includes the following enhancements. These updates are subject to change until the day of the release.

Happy April! 🎉 We've been working on updates to help your teams hire faster and smarter. If you want any additional information or help configuring the features below, please contact your CS representative.

Here's the latest feature releases and improvements.

    Approvals

Pay percentage targeting and pay rate field validation

You can now send offers for approval without hitting unexpected pay rate errors when percentage-based approval rules are active. Previously, a recruiter entering a pay rate above a job's configured pay boundary (such as the Base Pay Minimum and Base Pay Maximum) would receive a validation error, even if that amount was still within the range your approval rule was designed to handle. Now, Paradox recognizes when an active approval rule covers that range and routes the offer to approval instead of blocking it.

By letting your approval take priority, your team no longer encounters errors that contradict your own approval rules or policies. Compensation guardrails stay intact where you set them, and recruiters can move offers forward with confidence.

Learn more about creating and managing approval flows.

    Role impact and feature activation

    • Role Impact: This update impacts Paradox Admins, System Implementers (Partner Users), as well as any user roles with access to create Approval Flows. This also impacts users who approve or deny offer approvals.
    • Feature Activation: This feature is automatically available to use for all clients using Offer Approvals. No setup required.

    Job approval editing permissions

Approval requests in Roles and Permissions

Editing approvals in Approvals (Full Access)

You can now edit specific job details (such as job titles, locations, and descriptions) directly while reviewing a job approval request in Approvals, and view the complete candidate journey and screening outcomes within the request itself. This gives approvers the full context needed to make decisions without leaving the approval flow.

By removing the need to deny and resubmit requests for minor adjustments, your team keeps the hiring process moving forward without unnecessary delays. Approvers gain independence over job configurations while maintaining the access that your organization requires.

Learn more about Approvals permissions and approving / denying approval requests.

    Role impact and feature activation

    • Role Impact: This update impacts Paradox Admins, System Implementers (Partner Users), as well as any user roles with access to Roles and Permissions and Approvals. Depending on the user role's permissions, this may impact their job approval requests workflow.
    • Feature Activation: This feature is automatically available to use for all clients using Job Approvals. Setup is required to configure user role permissions. To review your permissions:
      • Select All Apps > Settings.
      • Select Permissions > Roles and Permissions.
      • Select the three-dot menu of any user role and then select Edit.
      • Under the Approval Requests parent permission, review the child permissions to the Job Approvals child permission (such as Shifts, Locations, Candidate Journey) using these access levels:
        • Full Access: View and edit all details.
        • View Access: Read-only visibility.
        • No Access: No visibility or editing.

    Assistant Messaging

    Redesign and search/navigation improvements

Assistant Messaging has a refreshed interface, along with several updates to make managing your messages faster and more consistent:

    • Search across all of Assistant Messaging by message title or content to find exactly what you need in seconds, without navigating section by section.
    • When you save an edit to the English version of a message, push that same change to any or all of your other enabled languages in one step, choosing exactly which ones to update.
    • Interview scheduling messages are now organized in a single section, grouped by interview type, so the version you need is always right where you'd expect it.

By making it faster to find, edit, and keep messages in sync across languages, your team spends less time on messaging maintenance and can be confident the right message reaches every candidate and employee through the right channel, every time.

Learn more about Assistant Messaging (Paradox Admins/System Implementers only).

    Role impact and feature activation

    • Role Impact: This update impacts Paradox Admins, System Implementers (Partner Users), as well as any user roles with access to Assistant Messaging, where you can customize your AI assistant's messages based on your client's needs.
    • Feature Activation: This feature is automatically available to use for all clients using Assistant Messaging (customizing their AI assistant's messages).

    Conversation Builder

Third party conversation downtime for dynamic ATS conversations

This feature is only available for Workday-integrated customers using Dynamic Chat-to-Apply conversations. Please contact your CS Representative for more information.

You can now automatically pause conversations when Workday downtime is detected so candidates don't hit dead ends. When Workday goes offline, Paradox pauses the conversation and sends the candidate a downtime message. When service is restored, candidates are automatically re-engaged through their preferred channel and can pick up right where they left off.

By taking the manual work out of outage recovery, your team stays focused and candidates stay in your pipeline. A Workday maintenance window or unexpected outage no longer means applicant drop-off.

Learn more about the Workday integration and Dynamic ATS conversations in the Conversation Builder.

    Role impact and feature activation

    • Role Impact: This update impacts Paradox Admins and System Implementers (Partner Users), Full User - Edit Everythings, and Power Users, as well as any user role with access to the Conversation Builder and Assistant Messaging.
    • Feature Activation: This feature is automatically available to use for all clients using Dynamic Chat-to-Apply conversations with Workday. No setup is required for new conversations, but setup is required for existing conversations. To enable downtime handling for your conversation:
      • Select All Apps > Settings.
      • Select Automation > Conversation Builder.
      • Navigate to the Conversation Builder and open the desired conversation.
      • Enable the 3rd Party Downtime: Pause Conversation setting.

    Conversational Events

    User-only event sessions

You can now designate specific event sessions as Session Staff Only using a new setting toggle in the Event Builder, restricting those sessions to logged-in users while keeping them completely hidden from candidates. This allows event organizers to schedule internal sessions, such as Super Day candidate debriefs or team decision meetings, directly within the platform without exposing them to attending candidates.

By centralizing the full event schedule, including internal-only sessions, within a single platform, your team no longer needs to manage parallel calendars or coordinate outside scheduling tools for staff-only meetings. This removes manual overhead for event coordinators while giving candidates a clean, focused schedule that reflects only what is relevant to them.

Learn more about creating an event in the Event Builder.

    Role impact and feature activation

    • Role Impact: This update impacts Company/Account Admins, Full User - Edit Everythings/Power Users, Reporting Users, as well as any user roles with access to the Event Builder who build events.
    • Feature Activation: This feature is automatically available to use for all clients using Conversational Events (hiring events, orientation events, and event templates). No setup required. To access and enable this feature:
      • Select All Apps > Events.
      • Select + Create New Event and fill out the following details.
      • In the Schedule step of the Event Builder, drag/drop or click into the desired timeframe.
      • In the Create a Session drawer, select Event Session.
      • Enable or disable the Session Staff Only setting. Enabling this restricts the session to event team members only and removes it from the candidate-facing view entirely.

    Content Management System (CMS)

    Mass action functionality

You can now select multiple intents in the CMS and perform bulk actions in one step: delete custom topics, publish intents as Live or unpublish as Not Live, edit responses, and switch intents between Contextual and Defined. These expanded tools give your team a faster way to manage large knowledge bases by updating the status and behavior of hundreds of intents in just a few clicks.

By putting mass action directly in your hands, your team can keep your knowledge base accurate and well-organized without the overhead of one-by-one updates slowing you down. The right intents stay live, the right ones stay contextual, and outdated custom topics can be cleaned up on the spot.

Learn more about updating Q&A responses and custom Q&A topics (Company/Account Admins only).

    Role impact and feature activation

    • Role Impact: This update impacts Paradox Admins, System Implementers (Partner Users), as well as any user roles with access to the CMS. You must have Knowledge Base Publishing permission to access this functionality.
    • Feature Activation: This feature is automatically available to use for all clients using the CMS. No setup required, but non-Paradox Admins must have Full Access to the Content Management System (CMS) > Candidate Assistant Responses > Knowledge Base Publishing child permission to take mass action. To access this feature:
      • Select All Apps > CMS.
      • In the left-hand panel of the CMS, select Candidate Q&A and then navigate to the desired topic.
      • Select or de-select the desired checkboxes next to the intents you want to take action on.
      • Select the Mass Action menu, where you can select between the following options:
        • Change to Live
        • Change to Not Live
        • Change to Contextual
        • Change to Defined
        • Edit
        • Delete (restricted to Custom Topic intents only)

Only Paradox Admins have permission to mass delete intents, and this only applies to your Custom Topics. Please contact your CS Representative for more information.

    Conversational Scheduling

Same virtual links for sequential interviews

You can now configure sequential interviews to use one persistent virtual meeting link for every session within the same calendar day, so candidates and interviewers join the same meeting room from the first round to the last without switching links between sessions.

By giving everyone one consistent meeting room for a full same-day sequential interview sequence, your team eliminates a common source of scheduling confusion and delivers a smoother, more professional interview experience from start to finish.

Learn more about sequential interviews (all users) and this setting in the Scheduling section of Client Setup (Paradox Admins/System Implementers only).

    Role impact and feature activation

    • Role Impact: This update impacts Paradox Admins, System Implementers (Partner Users), as well as any user roles with access to Client Setup. Depending on the user role's permissions, this may impact their sequential interviews scheduling workflow.
    • Feature Activation: This feature is automatically available to use for all clients using Conversational Scheduling (sequential interviews), but by default, it is not enabled. Setup is required to configure this setting. To review your permissions:
      • Select All Apps > Settings.
      • Select Paradox Tools > Client Setup.
      • In the Scheduling section, navigate to the Virtual Meeting Links for Sequential Interviews setting and select between the following:
        • Same Virtual Meeting Links: This uses the same virtual meeting links for sequential interviews.
        • Separate Virtual Meeting Links: This uses separate virtual meeting links for sequential interviews.
      • In the lower-right corner, select Save.

Updated hiring team roles attendees interview logic

You can now control whether a Hiring Team Role schedules as a Round Robin Group (RRG) or a Panel interview using the Number of Attendees setting: set it below the total number of users in the role for a Round Robin Group, or at or above the full hiring team size to bring everyone into the interview as a panelist. This logic applies consistently across all Paradox Jobs (Integrated Jobs, Standard Jobs, and Multi-Location Jobs) and every scheduling drawer where the setting is available.

By putting scheduling behavior directly in your hands through a single setting, your team can run Round Robin Group and Panel interviews correctly without workarounds or manual adjustments. Set it once in the configuration and every matching Hiring Team Role schedules the right way, every time.

Learn more about Round Robin Management and Panel interviews.

    Role impact and feature activation

    • Role Impact: By default, this update impacts all users but Basic/Limited Users, as well as any user roles with access to the scheduling drawer. Any user scheduling Round Robin Group (RRG) or Panel interviews for Paradox Jobs (Integrated Jobs, Multi-Location, Standard) will see this updated behavior when using Hiring Team Roles as attendees.
    • Feature Activation: This feature is automatically available to use for all clients using Conversational Scheduling (Round Robin Group and Panel interviews). To include multiple users from a single Hiring Team Role as panelists, the Number of Attendees setting must be set to match or exceed the number of users in that role.

Configuration Tip: Previously, Paradox automatically treated all users in a single role as a Panel interview, so that limitation has been removed. This update provides greater flexibility by allowing you to control exactly how many attendees from a role are invited, but keep in mind that you have to set this configuration for Panel interviews.

    Employee Communications

These features are used in conjunction with the Employee Communications product. If your client has not purchased this product, then they will be unable to access this feature and its functionality.

1:1 employees chat and messages experience

    Messages app

    Have conversations with your employees

View unread messages in the Employee Dashboard

Create employee phone numbers for users to message from

You can now manage 1:1 conversations with employees through a dedicated Messages app, with messages sent from your Paradox Phone Number so employees know exactly who they're hearing from. Frontline employees can view, manage, and respond to manager messages directly in their Employee Dashboard, without being redirected to a separate landing page.

By consolidating 1:1 communications into the Employee Dashboard and giving managers a clear identity in their outbound messages, your team removes a major source of friction in day-to-day conversations. Fewer missed messages and faster response times mean stronger connections between managers and their frontline teams.

    Role impact and feature activation

    • Role Impact: This update impacts all user roles and employees, as well as any user roles with access to the Messages app. By default, all user roles have No Access to the Employees parent permission > Messages child permission.
    • Feature Activation: This feature is automatically available to use for all clients using Employee Communications. Setup is required to grant access to the Messages app and configure user role permissions or create Paradox Phone Numbers. To review your permissions:
      • Select All Apps > Settings.
      • Select Permissions > Roles and Permissions.
      • Select the three-dot menu of any user role and then select Edit.
      • Under the Employees parent permission, review the child permissions to the Messages child permission using these access levels:
        • Full Access: Access and manage conversations in the Messages app.
        • No Access: Cannot access or manage conversations in the Messages app.

If a user role does not have Full Access to the Employee Visibility child permission, they cannot view messages sent to all employees in the account. A manager's ability to view and send messages is also controlled by their location access.

Enable employee communications setting by area or location

You can now enable or disable Employee Communications for individual locations and areas directly within Location Management, giving you precise control over which locations are included in your employee experience rollout. This makes it possible to run a location-based pilot without exposing employee features to managers at locations not yet included.

By putting rollout control directly in your hands at the location level, your team can expand the employee experience at exactly the right pace. Managers at non-piloted locations won't see features they can't use yet, keeping the experience clean and relevant for everyone involved.

    Role impact and feature activation

    • Role Impact: This update impacts Paradox Admins and System Implementers (Partner Users). Only Paradox Admins have permission to enable this setting.
      • If Employee Communications is enabled at the area or location level, this may impact managers at that specific area or location.
    • Feature Activation: This feature is automatically available to use for all clients using Employee Communications. Setup is required to enable Employee Communications at the area or location level. To enable this setting:
      • Select All Apps > Settings.
      • Select Permissions > Location Management.
      • Navigate to the desired area or location, and enable the Employee Communications setting.

Only Paradox Admins have permission to enable this setting. Please contact your CS Representative for more information.

    Job Management

    Create jobs in My Jobs

You can now create Standard Jobs directly from My Jobs using an existing published job template, and navigate to Job Builder for any job from the My Jobs ellipsis menu in one click. Both actions are permission-controlled, so your team gets the flexibility to create and manage jobs where they already work, without requiring full access to Job Management and the Job Builder.

By putting job creation in My Jobs with granular permission controls, your team can grant the right users the ability to create jobs quickly without exposing editing capabilities beyond what they should have. Hiring managers can act on job needs the moment they arise, and the direct path to Job Builder eliminates the back-and-forth between views for routine job updates.

    Learn more about Standard Jobs.

    Role impact and feature activation

    • Role Impact: This update impacts Paradox Admins and System Implementers (Partner Users), as well as any user roles with access to Roles and Permissions. Users with access to My Jobs can be granted/restricted access to create jobs and access the Job Builder.
      • All user roles default to No Access for the Create Job child permission. This permission applies to Standard Jobs only and is automatically disabled if Standard Jobs are not enabled in the account.
    • Feature Activation: This feature is automatically available to use for all clients using Conversational ATS (Standard Jobs). Setup is required to configure user role permissions. To review your permissions:
      • Select All Apps > Settings.
      • Select Permissions > Roles and Permissions.
      • Select the three-dot menu of any user role and then select Edit.
      • Under the My Jobs parent permission, review current access to the Create Job child permission using these access levels:
        • Full Access: Create a job and have access to create a new job.
        • No Access: No visibility or access to create a new job.

Support for job posting location assignment

You can now distinguish between Job Locations (exact hiring locations where candidates are actually assigned) and Job Posting Locations (where a job is broadly advertised) when assigning locations to a job. This allows you to list a position across multiple cities or regions to improve candidate discovery without affecting how candidates are assigned or cluttering your Location Management data.

By keeping posting locations separate from job locations, your team removes the manual overhead of creating and managing non-actionable records in Location Management. Candidates benefit from broader job discovery across regional areas, while your location data stays accurate and clean.

Learn more about multiple locations for standard jobs.

    Role impact and feature activation

    • Role Impact: This update impacts all user roles but Basic/Limited Users, as well as user roles that have access to Data Feeds (Integrated Jobs), the Job Builder, and My Jobs.
    • Feature Activation: This feature is automatically available to use for all clients using Job Management (Paradox Jobs, which includes Conversational ATS and Integrated Jobs). No setup required.

    Minor enhancements

    Automation Tools

We've updated Journey Targeting to resolve an issue on legacy ATS accounts that haven’t migrated to Integrated Jobs where targeting rule updates failed to save.

    Browser Extension

We've updated the Browser Extension with a new home page, replacing the Candidate Inbox as the default landing page. The home page allows you to select View Candidate Inbox or View My Calendar and open the respective pages.

    Channels

    • We've updated our Create new A2P Campaign 10DLC automation flow in Twilio with the following:
      • New text added to the campaign message flow.
      • Alt text on campaign descriptions for franchises.
      • Autofilled links for Privacy Police URL and Terms and Conditions URL.
    • We've updated the 10DLC registration process so that CEM accounts created from a template now inherit the Is 10DLC Registration Required and Brand for CEM Account settings from the original account.

    Conversational Career Sites

We've updated the job search page to include a live announcement from screen readers and assistive technologies when filters are cleared using the Clear Filter button.

    Conversational Events

We've updated the timezone format displayed in event-related communications sent to users so it now reflects the User Communications Timezone Format setting configured in Calendar Settings. Admins can choose between Abbreviated, Full Name, or UTC Offset.

    Integrations

    • We've updated the Synergi integration to support their latest API endpoints. To enable it:
      • Select Synergi as your WOTC provider in Client Setup > Forms & Offers.
      • Connect your account in Integration Center > Connected Apps.
      • Select Synergi when building the Work Opportunity Tax Credit Information task in your forms.
    • We've updated the Integration Center error alert emails so users can dynamically populate content for more advanced troubleshooting by Row Name and Row Value.

    Job Management

    • For Integrated Jobs, we’ve updated the scheduling logic to align with previous ATS behavior. Users with interview permissions now have implicit access to view candidates and schedule interviews at any company location, regardless of whether the user has explicit permission for that location or if the location is configured on the job.
    • We've updated job templates for Standard Jobs to support job data packages (JDPs) and additional public job titles without requiring a location, giving teams more flexibility when building and reusing templates.
    • We've updated the Job Manager to support viewing multiple Job Categories at the same time.
    • We've updated the Job Manager to support right-clicking job rows to open jobs in new tabs. Additionally, the Job ID cell popover now stays open when clicked rather than closing on hover.
    • We've updated Hiring Goals for Standard Jobs to include a new Close and Archive the Job action for Number of Hires hiring goal. When the specified threshold is met, the job is automatically closed and archived.
