Paradox Assist is your in-platform AI assistant that manages interviews and calendar availability, searches for candidates and jobs, moves applicants through the hiring process, and opens linked Paradox help articles, all without leaving the page you are working on.

    Use cases

    • Scheduling and calendar availability: Update calendar availability and start scheduling interviews.
    • Interviews in one conversation: List interviews by status or timeframe, narrow results, and cancel or reschedule interviews your user role can access.
    • Find candidates and jobs: Locate open jobs and candidates (for example, by city, job title, or role).
    • Add a candidate: Create a candidate profile and continue to screen or schedule when your permissions allow.
    • Journey status and next steps: Move a candidate to an allowed next step or ask about their current status.
    • Product how-to: Ask how Paradox features work and open linked help site articles from the chat.

    Configuration

This feature must be enabled for your account. See Paradox Assist: Configuration and use.

    Navigation

Paradox Assist is available on all pages in the CEM. From any page in the CEM, you can select the Assist widget in the lower-right corner of the page.

    Assist process

Assist interprets your message and responds in the conversation. Depending on the task, Assist may ask follow-up questions, show a preview of planned steps, or return results (for example, interview cards or a list of jobs) in the chat.

    1. Clarification (when needed): If your request is ambiguous or missing details, Assist sends a message that explains what it understood and what it plans to do next.
    2. Confirmation (data changes only): If the task changes data in Paradox (for example, cancelling an interview or updating availability), Assist asks you to select Confirm or Cancel before it applies the change.
    3. Task breakdown (multi-step tasks): For longer workflows, a task breakdown displays in the conversation. You can select the arrow to expand the list of steps and see the current status for each step.
    4. Results in chat: When the task finishes, Assist displays the outcome in the conversation (for example, an interview card, candidate profile, or job list) so you can review the result or continue the conversation.

    Pause a task in progress

While Assist is working on a request, the Send button changes to Pause. Select Pause to stop the current task. You can send another message in the same conversation to refine your request; Assist keeps the context of the conversation.
