Create panel interview FAQs How can a user who doesn't have access to a candidate's job, location, or group see that candidate's profile?

Panel interviews are a complex interview that can be used to schedule multiple interviewers for any interview type (in-person, virtual, or phone interviews).

    Create panel interview

    1. Open the preferred candidate's profile.
    2. Click the More button.
    3. Click Schedule from its drop-down menu.
    4. If you do not have recorded interviews enabled for your account, then you will open directly to the scheduling drawer. Update the Interview Type.
      • Note: For in-person interviews, a user will also have to select a physical location from the drop-down selector that appears when it is selected. If Room Booking is enabled and rooms have been added, the user can then select a room as well.

If you have scheduling templates and have built out a template that uses sequential interviews, you can use them within the manual scheduling drawer in the Candidate Inbox. You can learn how to use scheduling templates at the Scheduling Templates article.

    1. Update the Interview Duration, if needed. Options include:
      • 15 minutes
      • 20 minutes
      • 30 minutes
      • 45 minutes
      • 1 hour
      • 1 hour 30 minutes
      • 2 hours
        • Note: You have the ability to make a custom time, which can only be set in 5 minute increments. If a user types in a time outside of the 5 minute increment, your AI Assistant will automatically round the duration to the closest 5 minute increment.
    2. Add the Interviewer(s) that have the correct permissions for the job/location.
      • Note: Interviewers can also be added programmatically through an API, which will then trigger your AI Assistant to schedule an interview with everyone included. Their calendars are all scanned and time slots are presented to the candidate.

Interviewer Selector: When scheduling an in-person interview, only users who have permission for the interview location will appear as selectable interviewers. If a user does not have the required location permission, they will not be available to add as an interviewer for that location. Please ensure the user has the appropriate location permissions in Roles and Permissions if they need to be assigned as an interviewer for in-person interviews.

    1. When two or more Interviewers are added to an interview, then a Required pill will display next to each of their names. If relevant, click this pill to mark an interviewer as Optional, meaning that your AI Assistant will not check their OIT when scheduling the interview but will still send them the interview invitation. Click here to learn more about optional attendees.
      • Note: At least one interviewer is required for each interview. The last required interviewer cannot be marked as Optional.

    2. If Debriefs is enabled in your account, select + Add Debrief to add a debrief. This adds a debrief immediately after the panel interview. Select from the following debrief types using the Type dropdown menu and select your desired duration using the Duration dropdown menu:
      • In-Person
      • Phone
      • Virtual
    3. To make the debrief optional, select the Debrief is optional to attend checkbox.

General Logic for Debriefs in Panel Interviews:

    • Timing: The debrief occurs immediately after the panel interview. This is not customizable.
    • Availability: If Paradox cannot find a time block that accommodates both the interview and the debrief for all required attendees, the debrief will not be scheduled.
    • Participants: The attendees invited to the debrief are the same as the attendees invited to the panel interview.

    1. Add Interview Instructions that will be shared with the candidate, if preferred. These are shown to the candidate in a few different places.
      • Text Message (when engaging with Olivia through SMS)
      • Email Invite (for both the candidate and the Interviewer)
      • Calendar Invite (in the interview details)
    2. Click Schedule to schedule the interview.
