Candidate experience
When a candidate is completing a form with tax withholding, the candidate will be asked questions to determine which set of forms they must complete. This is based on their resident and work addresses.
The following fields will be auto-filled based on the values for their corresponding Candidate Attributes, which include:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Street Address
- City
- State
- Zip Code
Each form question will be asked individually.

When the form questions are complete, the candidate can review and digitally sign their Tax Form PDF.
The PA114 Tax Form requires a combination of employer information and work location. In order to account for this accurately, the form will use the Employer Tax Information data (Employer Name and FEIN) and then the address will be based on the location of the candidate’s job. If the work location address is missing, candidates can enter it to continue through the tax form.
Continue tax form

If a candidate completes only a portion of their tax form, a Continue button will take the place of the Get Started button in the main Tax Withholding section. They can click this button as needed to continue their tax form.
Restart tax form

Candidates can click the Update form in order to reset their tax forms and accurately complete the form and/or fill out the correct form. When clicked, their previous responses for completed versions of their federal and state tax forms will auto-fill the form, allowing them to only update the fields that they need to correct.
This function also works when a candidate is re-sent the form.
View tax forms
Candidates can view a preview of their tax forms in a modal by:
- Clicking the View button next to a completed form within a form’s Tax Withholding section.

- Clicking View Tax Form in the bottom left corner of an in-progress tax form modal.

Download tax forms

When a candidate views their completed form, they will have the option to download it as a PDF by clicking the Download button in the top right corner of the modal.
Nonresident Alien / Form 8233 Selection
When a candidate selects the following option for their tax form:
Nonresident Alien - I am exempt from withholding on compensation for independent (or eligible dependent) personal services of a Nonresident Alien Individual, see instructions for Form 8233.
then the candidate should receive a popup modal that makes them confirm that they should be using this form. This will display every time the candidate selects that they should receive the Form 8233.
If Form 8233 is selected and later removed, it will not be available to select again.
FAQs
Why didn't the candidate receive X tax form?
Candidates will only receive certain tax forms based on their resident address and the employer's work location. If a candidate didn’t receive a specific tax form, it usually occurs because of a multi-state tax scenario and the employer's business presence plus candidate location do not qualify for that form.
