Signature terms allow your candidates to agree to digitally sign a document by checking an I agree box at the end of a document task. As soon as a document is added to your form, signature terms will be added automatically and cannot be removed. They can, however, be edited to better reflect your company's legal jargon.
Edit signature terms in a form
You cannot upload a Document to Review in the task and edit signature terms.
By default, when uploading a document to a document task within a form, signature terms will be added. These terms will include default copy that can be edited on a per task basis. To do this, users with full access to Forms can follow the steps below.
- Select the task’s ellipsis icon and then Edit Signature Terms from its dropdown menu.
- In the slide-out drawer that opens, update the following details for your perjury statement as needed, depending on your document legal needs:
- Statement – This is the default perjury statement.
- Checkbox Label – This is the default checkbox label that displays to candidates or users when they are selecting the checkbox.
A maximum of 1000 characters is allowed for the Statement and Checkbox Label fields. Additionally, the signature confirmation and acceptance language supports multilingual if it is enabled in the account.
- In the lower-right corner, select Apply.
- Save the section.
- Publish the form.
