Send or resend a Paradox Offer manually
Table of Contents
Sending an offer to a candidate takes a couple quick steps within the CEM to configure successfully.
Send an offer manually
If you are utilizing the Approvals Engine feature, then additional Candidate Journey statuses will be listed and the process will appear a little differently. Learn more about submitting a send offer request here.
Note on External Offer Integrations:
When offers are managed in an external system (such as Workday), the external system must send an API call ("ping") to Paradox to notify that the offer is complete. If this notification is not received, the candidate will remain in their current status in Paradox, and the offer link will not be sent automatically. In these cases, manual intervention is required to move the candidate to the correct status or to manually send the offer link. Once the candidate is manually moved to the expected status, the system will resume normal processing for that candidate.
To send an offer, complete the following steps via the candidate status's next step options or the Send Offer status.
Via next steps
- Navigate to the Candidate Inbox.
- Open the preferred candidate’s profile.
- Select the Send Offer status and then the offer next step.
- A drawer will open where you can fill out the offer details. These includes:
- Inputting the pay rate. This can be per hour or per year.
- Adding the start date. This can only be a present or future date.
- Update any other component details.
-
Note: If custom offer sections are added, it is important to note the following:
- If the document has one file & is a required field: The file will auto-fill in content, the component is hidden on the left.
- If the document has one file & is an optional field: The file won’t auto-fill in content, the component is displayed on the left and will be empty by default.
- If the document has more than one file: Follows the optional/required field logic.
-
Note: If custom offer sections are added, it is important to note the following:
- If an employee signature is required, then a Sign field will be listed in the left-hand toolbar. When clicked, a Consent to Electronic Signatures modal will appear, where you must agree to the terms. You will then be able to sign the form and send the offer.
- Click Send Offer, and the candidate will receive the communication.
Via the Send Offer status
- If next steps are not available for that status, click More.
- Scroll to the Offer stage, and select the Send Offer status.

- Input the pay rate. This can be per hour or per year.

Assign candidate location use cases
- For Standard Jobs, only locations available as preferred or additional locations on the job are displayed and available to be selected in the Location Lookup selector. The location selected will be set for the candidate’s job location on their Candidate Profile.
- For Multi-Location Jobs, the Location Lookup selector is locked, disallowing the candidate to be assigned to another location.
Resend an offer manually
If an offer needs to be updated or a new offer needs to be sent to the candidate, that specific offer letter will need to be selected on the job.
If an offer is canceled or expired, then it can be re-sent to the candidate only through the manual process outlined below:
- Open the preferred candidate's profile.
- Scroll down to the profile's Hire Details section.
- Click into the previously sent offer.
- In the slide-out drawer that opens, select the Send Offer button in the bottom right corner.
The offer will be re-sent to the candidate, and the Offer History will be updated to display this action.
Unable to send offer error message
If you see an Unable to Send Offer modal after selecting Send Offer, it might be because the Job Attributes that the offer letter references, such as base pay minimum or base pay maximum, have been updated since you opened the offers drawer.
To fix this, try closing and reopening the offer to make sure the latest job details are applied before sending.
Once an offer is sent to candidates, then the Job Attributes that are attached to the offer will not update.
- Note: Candidate Attributes update while an offer is pending. These updates stop once the offer is accepted or declined.
