The CMS Media Library is where you can add media files, including images and videos, as well as documents and hyperlinks for use in certain areas of the system.
Any explicit content that is uploaded in the CMS will be grayed out and include a Sensitive Content warning will display over the image. Click Show to will remove the grayed background and allow employees to view the uploaded image.
Use cases
- Users who want to upload content to include in responses and/or use repetitively in various parts of the system.
Best practices for implementation
- The Media Library is used across multiple components and products throughout the CEM. When uploading your media, be sure to give it a specific and unique name.
- Utilize the different media types (Documents, Videos, Images/GIFs, Hyperlinks) where applicable for more variety and customization.
- If you have to remove or delete media from the Media Library, keep in mind that the media you are deleting may be used in various products throughout the platform.
- If you are having issues with the media you are trying to upload, pay attention to the file types we accept:
- Document = .pdf, .csv, .docx, .doc, .txt, .rtf
- Image/GIF = .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .gif
- Video = .mp4, .mov, OR a YouTube, Vimeo, or Google Drive URL
Navigation
To open the Media library,
- Select All Apps in the top left corner of the header and then CMS from its drop-down menu.
- From the left panel of the CMS, select Media Library.
The Media Library will then open to the All Media Files list.
Media Content library view
When the Media Library opens, all media files will display. You can click the preferred media type from the left panel to view its specific list.
- Select all – Selecting the checkmark box next to the total media files listed above the list will select all files within that list.
- + Add Media – This will allow you to add media content to the library. This process is outlined here.
- Search bar – This will allow you to search the list for the characters entered.
- List view – Listed next to the search bar, the list view icon will display all media items in a list.
- Thumbnail view – Listed next to the search bar, the thumbnail view icon will display all media items as thumbnails.

Reporting
The following legacy reports available to you for media usage will depend on where you want to track the media. You can look at media usage reports for the following products:

Permissions
Users will need full access to the Media Library permission (under the Content Management System parent permission) in order to add and manage Media Library content. By default, Paradox Admins, Company/Account Admins, and Franchise Owners will have full access to this permission.
