Table of Contents
The Manage Preferences page is where the candidate's information, channel preference(s), and additional alert preference(s) can be managed by the candidate. Once opened via email, SMS, or WhatsApp, the candidate can make any changes, including unsubscribing or resubscribing to communications.
Navigation to Manage Preferences page
Candidates can navigate to the Manage Preferences page from any of the below options, depending on the methods enabled for your account.
Step #1: Click link from email or enter “PREF” from SMS/WhatsApp
The footer of an email communication will include a link for recipients to manage their communication preferences. By clicking manage preferences, then they will navigate to the Manage Preferences page.
SMS
The SMS welcome messaging and intents will be updated to include the ability for candidates to manage their preferences. Your AI Assistant will send the following welcome message:
Welcome to Paradox. Msg&data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply HELP for help or email smshelp@paradox.ai. Text STOP to cancel, or PREF to update.
The candidate can respond with PREF or a similar prompt intent at any time. Your AI Assistant will then send them a link to the Manage Preferences page where they can update their communication preferences.
The WhatsApp welcome messaging and intents will be updated to include the ability for candidates to manage their preferences. Your AI Assistant will send the following welcome message:
Welcome to #brand-name. Reply HELP for help. Text STOP to cancel, or PREF to update.
The candidate can respond with PREF or a similar prompt intent at any time. Your AI Assistant will then send them a link to the Manage Preferences page where they can update their communication preferences.
Step #2: Complete secure login
As a part of a security measure, candidates need to securely login to access the Manage Preferences page
To securely login, candidates will need to follow the steps below:
- Select on the link to access the Secure Login page.
- Select their preferred communication method to receive the verification code. Depending on their communication preferences, the candidate may see options for email, SMS, or WhatsApp (if enabled).
- From the verification page, enter in the one-time code sent to your preferred communication preference.
The candidate is then able to access the link, and they are redirected to the Manage Preferences page.
Manage Preferences page
The Manage Preferences page will include the following adjustable settings:
-
Channel Preference (SMS and Email) – Any selected channel displays the candidate’s current preferred communication method(s). They can update this by selecting or deselecting the preferred channels.
- Note: Only the communication channels enabled for your account will display.
- Campaigns – If Campaigns is enabled for your account, then this will automatically display as enabled for the candidate. If it remains enabled, this alert will notify the candidate when jobs they are interested in have been updated.
-
Job Alerts – If Job Alerts is enabled for your account, then this toggle will automatically display as enabled for the candidate. If it is toggled off, the candidate will not receive any job alerts and not be asked to enable new job alerts. If it remains toggled on, candidates can freely set up their own job alerts via the widget conversation that match their previous job searches. The candidate can select Configure to the left of this toggle to set their preferred frequency for job alerts. This can be sent either:
- Daily – 8 am PST daily
-
Weekly – 8 am PST on the day of the first match and every week after that on the same day
- For example, if a candidate sign ups for a weekly cadence and the first match occurs on a Monday, then the candidate would receive job alerts on every Monday moving forward.
- Talent Communities – If Talent Community is enabled for your account, then this will automatically display as enabled for the candidate. If it remains enabled, then the candidate will receive any applicable talent community communications based on their selected talent community.
- Unsubscribe from All – Candidates can unsubscribe from all system communications, including the components listed, workflow communications, and more, by clicking the unsubscribe from all link at the bottom of the page. Once confirmed, this action will occur and the components listed on the screen will be replaced with the option to resubscribe to communications.
The Manage Preferences page will translate into the candidate’s preferred language, which is pulled from their profile’s Language value.
