This March 10th release includes the following enhancements. These updates are subject to change until the day of the release.

Happy March! 🎉 We've been working on updates to help your teams hire faster and smarter. If you want any additional information or help configuring the features below, please contact your CS representative.

Here's the latest feature releases and improvements.

    Contextual AI

Automated setup and implementation for Contextual Q&A

You can now automatically enable Contextual Q&A across all web widgets and phone numbers immediately upon account activation and consent for Contextual AI features. By automating this enablement, you eliminate manual configuration steps, reduce the risk of setup errors, and significantly accelerate your go-live timeline.

Learn more about configuring Contextual AI.

    Role impact and feature activation

    • Role Impact: This update impacts Paradox Admins, System Implementers (Partner Users), and Company/Account Admins, as well as any user roles with access to Client Setup.
    • Feature Activation: This feature is automatically available to use for all clients using Contextual AI upon first enablement. No setup required.

    Conversational Events

View and complete evaluations on the candidate profile

You can now view, complete, and edit event-specific evaluations directly from the candidate profile without needing to navigate to the Events app. By centralizing evaluation history in the Events section of the candidate profile and allowing you to complete evaluations in a streamlined drawer, you save time and make faster, more informed hiring decisions with a holistic view of candidate performance.

Learn more about completing an evaluation in the candidate profile.

    Role impact and feature activation

    • Role Impact: This update impacts all users but Basic/Limited Users, as well as any users with access to evaluations.
    • Feature Activation: This feature is automatically available to use for all clients using evaluations and can be accessed directly from the candidate profile. No setup required.

    Conversational Scheduling

Automated employee time zone sync and configuration

    Sync timezone from connected calendar

Microsoft (O365) integration new default to calendar timezone sync setting

    Roles and permissions calendar connections

You can now precisely control how employee timezones are synchronized across your organization, with new options to sync with connected calendars (Outlook, Google, Exchange) and apply granular user-level overrides. By making timezone management transparent and automated, you ensure accurate scheduling for global teams and minimize confusion for both admins and employees.

Learn more about this feature with the following documentation:

    • Time zone methods
    • Microsoft 365 (O365) integration
    • Calendar integration
    • Scheduling solution checklist
    • Client Setup settings

To prevent reverting any past manual mass updates performed by engineering, actual syncing will not begin until two weeks after the release. Please contact your CS Representative if you prefer to manage your timezones manually instead of automatically.

    Role impact and feature activation

    • Role Impact: This update impacts Microsoft 365 Admins and Company/Account Admins who are responsible for configuring and managing calendar integrations, as well as any user roles with access to Client Setup, Roles and Permissions, and Connected Apps (for managing calendar integrations).
    • Feature Activation: This feature is automatically available to use for all clients using scheduling. No setup required.

Integrated Job ID support for Open Interview Times (OIT)

You can now search and filter Open Interview Time (OIT) blocks by Integrated Job ID, making it easier to identify the correct job when titles are similar. By displaying both the job name and unique ID when viewing and editing OIT blocks, you streamline scheduling workflows and reduce selection errors for teams managing high job volumes.

Learn more about open interview times (OIT).

    Role impact and feature activation

    • Role Impact: This update impacts all user roles but Basic/Limited Users, as well as any user roles with access to My Calendar/Calendars.
    • Feature Activation: This feature is automatically available to use for all clients using Integrated Jobs and My Calendar/Calendars. No setup required.

    Data Privacy

Customize Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) questions

You can now fully customize Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) questions—including question text, response options, and helper text—with multilingual support. By managing these configurations directly within the platform, you ensure local compliance and deliver a more inclusive candidate experience without requiring engineering support.

Learn more about Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and the Data Privacy section of Client Setup (Paradox Admins/System Implementers only).

    Role impact and feature activation

    • Role Impact: This update impacts Paradox Admins/System Implementers (Partner Users), as well as any user roles with access to Client Setup.
    • Feature Activation: This feature is automatically available to use for all clients using the EEO Statement. No setup required, but you can review your EEO statement and configure as needed. This feature can be accessed by following the steps below:
      • Select All Apps > Settings.
      • Select Paradox Tools > Client Setup > Data Privacy.

    Platform

Roles & permissions consolidation for candidate summary builder

You can now manage access to candidate information more efficiently with a merged permissions structure that combines the Candidate Profile Card and Candidate Summary into a single permission called Candidate Summary. By consolidating these settings and adding new options for Pinned Files, you gain clearer, more granular control over data security as your team grows.

Learn more about the candidate summary builder permissions and roles and permissions.

User roles that previously had access are being automatically migrated to the new permissions structure.

    Role impact and feature activation

    • Role Impact: This update impacts Paradox Admins/System Implementers (Partner Users), as well as any user roles with access to Roles and Permissions.
    • Feature Activation: This feature is automatically available to use for all clients. No setup required. This feature can be accessed by following the steps below:
      • Select All Apps > Settings.
      • Select Permissions > Roles and Permissions.
      • On the left panel, select Roles and Permissions.
      • Navigate to the Candidate Summary Builder permission.

Migration of Basic User Portal (BUP) users to CEM

You can now manage all former Basic User Portal (BUP) users directly within the core CEM platform, where all legacy permissions, settings, and user data have been automatically migrated. By sunsetting the legacy BUP, you eliminate the need for dual system maintenance and ensure your entire team, including Basic Users, has access to the most modern Recruiting Dashboard, enhanced security standards, and the latest platform innovations.

Learn more about the Recruiting Dashboard (that replaces the Basic User Portal).

    Role impact and feature activation

    • Role Impact: This update impacts all BUP users and any clients currently using the portal.
    • Feature Activation: This feature is automatically applied for all legacy BUP clients. All BUP users are now managed within CEM under the new Basic User role, and the Basic User Portal setting has been removed from Client Setup. No setup required, but we recommend reviewing the Basic User role in Roles and Permissions to verify access levels.

    Job Management

    Audience-specific job posting URLs

My Jobs copy internal/external posting links

Manually adding a candidate in the Candidate Inbox

    Invite to apply drawer

You can now generate and manage distinct job posting URLs for internal, external, and combined audiences, ensuring every candidate is routed to the correct application experience and tracked accurately. By using these audience-specific links and automated routing logic across the entire platform—including Campaigns, Events, and Phone Numbers—you improve candidate tracking data, streamline internal mobility, and simplify how your team shares and reports on job postings for different internal and external talent pools.

    Role impact and feature activation

    • Role Impact: This update impacts all user roles but Basic/Limited Users, as well as any user roles with access to Job Management. Additionally, other user roles can define audience types across Channels, Campaigns, Invite to Apply, Web Management, Events, Career Sites, and My Jobs.
    • Feature Activation: This feature is automatically available to use for all clients using Paradox Jobs (Conversational ATS or Integrated Jobs). Audience-specific URLs are generated and managed automatically. No setup required.

    Minor enhancements

    Channels

We’ve updated the EU Ideal Sender logic to exclude France (+33) and Belgium (+32). Because local operators in these regions block international numeric IDs, Paradox will now default to email-only unless a domestic phone number is used, ensuring messages are not overwritten by unmapped short codes.

    Conversation Flow

    • We’ve updated the default response for the PREF keyword and inquiries regarding communication preferences to now read: “I currently don't have information on your communication preferences. Is there anything else I can help you with?”
    • We’ve updated the Application Processing status to now read: “Thank you for asking about the status of your [JOB NAME] application. Looks like we are still reviewing your information, please reach out to your recruiter for further information."

    Conversational Events

    • We’ve updated the Event and My Schedule mobile landing pages to prevent the chat widget from automatically opening. The chat will now remain minimized until a candidate manually selects the icon to prevent it from blocking page content.
    • We’ve updated the Assign Interviewers task so the task card and notification pill remain visible until the required number of interviewers is reached, rather than disappearing after the first assignment.

    Document Builder

We’ve updated the Document Builder to disable the Alt + Drag shortcut. This prevents users from accidentally creating linked, uneditable duplicate fields during the Make Fillable step.

    Job Management

    • We’ve updated the Job Boards and Integrated Partners dropdown menus in Job Settings. Updates include alphabetical sorting, removing BuiltIn and Facebook, and disabling the SEEK option for accounts outside of Seek-supported regions.
    • We’ve updated the Distribution tab logic in Job Manager. This tab will now be completely hidden for accounts that do not have Conversational ATS enabled.

    Location Management

We’ve updated location matching logic for Job Feeds to be case-insensitive for both Location ID and Location Name. Additionally, the system now normalizes accented characters (such as "São" to "Sao") during comparison to prevent the creation of duplicate tentative locations.

    Scheduling

We’ve updated the Google Calendar integration to use granular API scopes. New connections will now request only the specific permissions required to manage events and view free/busy status, following the principle of least privilege.

    Settings

We’ve updated the Admin page to remove EEO statement configuration. All EEO and diversity question management must now be performed within Client Setup.
