Timeline settings Add timelines in the Job Builder Add timelines or job posting end date in My Jobs View timeline or job posting end date

If you select the option to manually add job status timelines to jobs, you can assign and manage them in the Job Builder and My Jobs, depending on the timeline settings determined in Job Manager.

    Timeline settings

Timeline settings can be configured in Job Manager by a user with full access to Job Settings in Roles and Permissions. These settings help determine whether job status timelines can be added to jobs automatically or manually via the Job Builder and My Jobs. Click here to learn more.

Add timelines in the Job Builder

By default, users will be able to add job status timelines to jobs via the Job Builder. To do this,

    1. Select the All Apps button in the top left corner of the header and then Settings in its drop-down menu.
    2. When the Settings page opens, selecting Job Manager under the Jobs section.
    3. Job Manager will open to the Jobs section. Create a new job or open an existing job.
    4. In the Overview section of the Job Builder, locate the Timelines section and select + Add.
    5. Configure the My Jobs Settings toggle options, which include:
      • Require Timeline by Default – When enabled, every new job created in the account requires a timeline to be posted by default.
      • Allow Editing in My Jobs – When enabled, timelines can be edited in My Jobs by default.
      • Allow Job Posting End Date – When enabled, users configuring the timeline can select a job posting end date.
    6. Under Available Timelines, select + Add Timelines to open the Select Timelines modal.
    7. Check the box for each timeline you want to make available for this job.
      • Notes: You can use the search bar or expand/collapse icons to view more details for the timeline.
    8. Ensure to select Save.
      • Note: To remove a timeline in the Add Timelines drawer, select the trash can icon next to it.
    9. In the bottom right corner, select Save.

Once added, you can view the timeline associated with the job below the Timelines setting in the Job Builder.

Add timelines or job posting end date in My Jobs

For timelines that aren’t manually added (Use Job Targeting), they are automatically selected in My Jobs. However, timelines or job posting end dates can be manually added or adjusted to jobs in My Jobs, if enabled in the Job Builder.

To add a timeline or job posting end date to a job in My Jobs:

    1. Select the All Apps button in the top left corner of the header and then My Jobs from its drop-down menu.
    2. When My Jobs opens, click the preferred job’s toggle to open the job modal.
    3. Scroll down to the Timeline section.
    4. Select between the following options:
      • + Add Timeline – Select the desired timeline and expand/collapse each timeline to view more details. Select Save in the lower-right corner of the modal.
      • + Job Posting End Date – Select the job posting end date between the following options:
        • After Duration – The job posting closes after the specified number of days or hours.
          • Duration – Define the posting duration by entering a number (in days or hours).
        • On Custom Date – The job posting closes on a custom, defined date.
          • Date – The date the job posting closes.
          • Time – The time the job posting closes.
          • Timezone – The timezone the job posting closes.
    1. In the bottom right corner of the job modal, select Post Job.

You may receive the following warning modals when posting a job, ensuring that you are aware of changes to the job:

    • Update Job Posting: This displays when you update the job posting, and changes made are shown to future candidates that apply.
    • Job Will Post After Delay: This displays when you assign a timeline that posts with a delay.

View timeline or job posting end date

You can select a job's action menu, or ellipses, to select between the following, depending on the job's set details:

    • Timeline – Select View Timeline, Change Timeline, or Remove Timeline.
    • Job Posting End Date – Select Remove Job Posting End Date.

In addition to this, jobs with a set timeline or expiration date will display a status pill, such as Closes [Date] or Posting in X hours, in the job card.
