The Overview section is the first section in the Job Builder and covers the job's foundational details. The capabilities of this page will vary depending on whether you are utilizing Paradox jobs (Conversational ATS) or integrated jobs (Integrated ATS).

    Conversational ATS experience

When utilizing Conversational ATS, you will be able to configure the following fields:

    • Job Name / Public Job Title – The job title that will display to candidates. If Internal Job Titles are enabled for your account, then this will display as Public Job Title.
    • Internal Job Title – The job title that the hiring team will see within the system and when searching for a job. This will only display when Internal Job Titles is enabled for your account.
    • Additional Job Titles / Public Job Titles by Location – The job titles that can be tied to a specific location. To create job titles by location, you will need to first add the locations (#8) that will be hiring for this job. This button will then be enabled, allowing you to add job titles by location. Click here to learn more.
      • Note: If utilizing the Multilingual feature:
        • You can only add additional job titles in English.
        • These job titles can then be translated by following this process:
          1. Select the preferred language from the language selector.
          2. Click the + Add Job Titles button.
          3. Make changes to the English additional job titles.
          4. Click the Finish button. This will save the translated additional job titles by language.
    • Brand name – (optional) The brand assigned to the job. This only applies to Standard Jobs and Job Templates.
    • Job Code – (optional) The job code that should be assigned to the job. This is a code that can be assigned based on your business process, but it is not the same as the Paradox Job ID that is displayed in My Jobs.
    • Allow employees to edit the Brand Name in My Jobs – When toggled on, this will allow the brand name to be edited in My Jobs.
    • Template External ID – This field will only display in a job template. This is the external ID for a template that will assist jobs in being updated via API.
    • Job Posting Type – This will only be available if Job Posting Types is enabled. Select the job type that should be assigned to the job you are configuring. Learn more here.
      • External: The job is posted publicly. Any candidate can apply, and the job can be included in job search and XML feeds.
      • Internal: The job is visible only to internal employees/candidates. Internal jobs are not added to standard XML feeds and are treated as internally shared jobs only.
      • External and Internal: The job is open to both internal and external candidates. The job can appear in job search and standard XML feeds (using the external posting link).
    • Allow employees to edit the Job Posting Type in My Jobs – When toggled on, this will allow the job posting type to be edited in My Jobs.
    • Locations - The locations tied to this job. When this drawer opens, you can mark this job as a remote job or select one or multiple jobs for the job type you are creating.
      • Note: If you have multiple locations enabled for a standard job, then you may have additional location options. Learn more here.
    • Shifts – Select the shifts this job is hiring for. Learn more about shifts here.
    • Additional Details – This will only be available if you have Job Data Packages enabled for your account. This allows you to attach Job Data Packages to the job and define the data for each assigned location.
    • Hiring Goal / Number of Hires – This will display when the Candidate Volume Optimizer and/or Number of Hires feature(s) are/is enabled for your account. To add a predetermined action for this feature,
      1. Click Configure.
      2. In the slide-out drawer that opens, select the Number of Hires box.
      3. Select one of the following actions to take place when the preferred number of hires is met:
        • Olivia [Your AI Assistant] Will Turn the Job Off
        • Notify Hiring Manager
      4. Click Save.
    • Timelines – If you have at least one timeline enabled and published on your account, then the Timelines setting will display. This allows you to apply a job status timeline to the job. Click here to learn more about job status timelines.

Once all required fields are complete, click Save to proceed to the next section.

    Additional Details Permissions Note:

    • The Job Data Permissions drop-down may be disabled from editing and include a lock icon next to the attribute in the Job’s Additional Details if disabled in Job Data Packages.
      • If available and marked as optional to enter in My Jobs, then you have the option to leave the attribute value as blank. If the attribute is a list-select attribute, then the User can deselect all options to leave the value as blank.
      • If available and marked as required to enter in My Jobs, then an error will display until a value is entered for the attribute.

    Integrated ATS experience

When utilizing an integrated ATS, all of the job's data will be brought in from your job feeds and stored in Job Manager. The layout of this data will remain the same, but all feed-provided fields will be read-only and cannot be edited in Paradox. However, you can take the following actions on the fields below:

    • Locations - The locations tied to this job. Select View All Locations to see all of the job locations from the feed.
      • Notes:
        • The Preferred Location, or the most desired location for this job, should be defined in the feed. If it isn't, the first location listed in the feed will be designated as the Preferred Location, and all others will be listed as Additional Locations.
        • If the job is defined as "Remote," then the Remote Position toggle will be enabled.
        • If the job is both "Remote" and has physical location data, then the Remote Position toggle will be enabled, and any physical locations will be added as described above.
    • Additional Details – This stores all feed-provided job data, even if it doesn’t appear in the Overview section, and allows users to manually add Job Data Packages to the job. Selecting Manage will open a drawer that contains two tabs:
      • View Feed Data – This tab displays all remaining mapped job data from the feed. This may include compensation type, employment type/status, department or division, remote job designation, and/or custom fields provided by the ATS.
      • Manage Job Data Package – This tab supports the manual addition of a Job Data Package (JDP) to an integrated job (currently available for standard and multi-location jobs). JDPs provide flexibility inside the Paradox platform to assign additional job attributes to an integrated job that are not already defined in the feed.
        • Note: If a Job Data Package value conflicts with feed data for the same job, the feed data will overwrite the JDP value.

    Job Data Package attribute logic:

    • Users can only use Job Data Packages in which all attributes are marked as optional.
      • This limitation exists because integrated jobs can be set to be automatically turned on in My Jobs, so the system cannot support required Job Attributes in this case.
    • If a JDP contains any required attributes, it will not be displayed as an available option when assigning packages in the Job Builder.

    • Hiring Goal / Number of Hires – This will display the Number of Hires defined for the job on the feed. You can adjust the action taken when this set number is met by selecting Configure, updating the Actions selector, and then selecting Save. The available actions include:
      • Olivia [Your AI Assistant] Will Turn the Job Off
      • Notify Hiring Manager
