The Apply section of Client Setup is tied to the Conversational Apply feature, where candidates can apply to jobs directly through their conversation with your AI Assistant. The settings in this section include the following:

    • Video Apply – This enables the ability for your AI Assistant to collect videos from the candidate throughout Apply.
      • Time to send upload reminder – When Video Apply is enabled, a selector will display where you can select the time when an upload reminder will be sent to the candidate.
    • Follow-up – This enables users to build more follow-up screening questions in Conversation Builder.
    • Location-Based keywords – This generates keywords based on locations created in Location Management for candidates to engage with your AI Assistant specific to US locations via SMS. When a candidate texts the location's associated phone number with this keyword, then job search results will display for only that location.
      • Note: This only works when Paradox Jobs/Conversational ATS is enabled for the account.
    • Outbound – This enables the ability to customize outbound messages from Campaigns if a candidate is sent a conversation.
    • Allow candidates to update their data – This is enabled by default and allows candidates to update their name, contact information, resume, and communication preference when messaging with your AI Assistant.
    • Require Phone Number Country Code – This requires candidates to include a country code when entering their phone number response. This setting is mostly used for global customers.
    • Allow Manually Responding to the Candidate as – This will allow you to set your preferred persona/designated responder within a candidate’s conversation. This selection will be used to communicate with candidates during the entire hiring process and prevents candidate confusion by ensuring that conversations occur within the same messaging thread, depending on the selection made. Options to select include the following:
      • AI Assistant & Employee (default)
      • AI Assistant
      • Employee
    • Disable Override Button – This will remove the Override button from the Candidate Profile conversation, preventing recruiters from interrupting candidates in the middle of their conversation flow.
    • Disable Adding a Candidate Manually – This disables and removes the Add Candidate button in the inbox to prevent employees from manually adding candidates into the CEM.
    • Resume Parsing – This will enable resume parsing, or the parsing of resume information to add it to the Candidate Profile, to be turned on within a conversation for an Apply conversation or when a resume is manually uploaded.
    • Prioritize Responding:
      • Who should be selected as priority when responding to candidates? – Selecting either the AI Assistant or Recruiter prioritizes the selected choice for chats in accounts where the candidate isn’t asked their communication preference during a previous engagement (i.e. in the Apply question) OR if the preference isn’t set via the API parameter (i.e. via an integration).
    • Candidate Communication:
      • When a candidate provides both their phone number and email, which should be prioritized for communication? – This will set the default communication preference for candidates with both their phone number and email added to their profile, if it is not determined or collected in the integration or Apply conversation.
    • Location Discovery:
      • Would you like to ask candidates to provide their City and State or Zip Code? – This frames the location discovery question, or the method by which candidate’s get assigned to a location, asked during Apply. Options for framing this question include:
        • City and State
        • Zip Code
        • Both
      • How close should the locations results be to the candidate’s selection? – This frames the search radius of the Location Discovery question to allow for the nearest job location to be added to the candidate's profile. For example, if the candidate responds with “Scottsdale, AZ” and the radius is set to 25 miles, your AI Assistant will display the locations within 25 miles of Scottsdale IF those locations exist in the account. If so, then the candidate will be able to select which location they want to work at. Search radius options include:
        • 5 mile radius
        • 10 mile radius
        • 20 mile radius
        • 30 mile radius
        • 50 mile radius
        • 100 mile radius
      • Confirm a candidate’s location before auto assigning a location? – This adds an extra question for Location Discovery so that your AI Assistant confirms the candidate’s location selection.
      • Include Remote Location – This adds a “remote” location as an option in Location Management and will include “Remote” as an option in Location Discovery.
    • Multi Application – These settings set the default logic for Multi-application, or the ability for Paradox to link multiple candidate’s “application” into one overall profile.
      • How would you like to send the verification code to the candidate? – If this is configured, your AI Assistant will send a message to the candidate saying that they are a returning candidate and that your assistant needs them to input a verification code so they can make sure the candidate is the same person. Options for this setting include.
        • No verification required (default)
        • Email address
        • Phone number
      • After how many days can the candidate reapply to the same job? – This is the number of days after the candidate applies to a job that they can reapply to the same job. Options for this setting include.
        • 0 days (default)
        • 30 days
        • 60 days
        • 90 days
        • 120 days
        • 150 days
        • 180 days
        • 210 days
        • 240 days
        • 270 days
        • 300 days
        • 330 days
        • 360 days
          • Note: If a candidate tries to reapply to the same job within the timeframe set, it is expected that the candidate will not be assigned a job title or location.
    • Redirect Internal Candidates – This will allow you to redirect internal candidates to an internal site for their application.
      • Internal Email Domains – When Redirect Internal Candidates is enabled, this box will display where you can add the internal domains tied to an internal candidate's email address. When entering an email address, you must hit Enter/Return on your keyboard to submit the email address to the field. Save the page.

Entering all domains is crucial to provide the proper experience to internal candidates. When a candidate applies with one of these domains, they will then be sent the corresponding message in Assistant Messaging to redirect them to the internal Career Site.
