Completing WhatsApp onboarding in the CEM FAQs My team wants to use a different name for our WhatsApp account, can we change it?

Your CS Representative will configure WhatsApp on the backend for you. At certain parts of this process, they may reach out to your team for guidance and information in regards to this integration. Towards the end of the process, you will need to complete the configuration step below.

Completing WhatsApp onboarding in the CEM

Once the preliminary actions are complete, you can onboard yourself by following the below steps.

    1. Within the CEM account, guide your POC to go to Settings > Platform, and open the new WhatsApp Onboarding page.

    2. The page should display the new branded Twilio sub-account selected on the backend with a Not Connected status at the top right.
      • Note: If the Twilio Account field is not correct, please make sure to contact your CS Representative to adjust this for you.
    3. Click Log in with Facebook.
    4. A Meta pop-up will open where the creation of the new WhatsApp account will take place. Within the pop-up, log in to your company's Facebook account.
      • Note: The user logging in to their Facebook account must have full control permissions to your company’s meta business account to complete the process. The facebook account will not be saved further in the process.
    5. After logging in, agree to the WhatsApp Business Terms of Service and the Meta Terms of Service on behalf of your company by selecting Get Started.
    6. Click the Business Portfolio dropdown and select the relevant business. After making this selection, the account’s information will be added to all other fields.
    7. Click Next.
    8. On the new page, select the Choose a WhatsApp Business Account dropdown and choose Create a new WhatsApp Business Account.
      • Note: You may already have other WhatsApp accounts in your Meta Business, but do not select them. Paradox will use a newly-created account to ensure there is no interference with any of your existing accounts.
    9. Once selected, two additional fields will appear. Update these as needed.
      • WhatsApp Business Account Name – This will be the internal name of the new WhatsApp account within the client’s Meta Business account.
        • Note: This is for internal use only and will not be visible to candidates.
      • Timezone – Select the appropriate timezone for your operations.
    10. Once both fields are updated, click Next.
    11. Click Continue to allow Paradox to manage your new WhatsApp account.

Congratulations! You have created a new WhatsApp account. The page status will change to Connected at the top right and will show your new WhatsApp display name.
