When WhatsApp is enabled in Client Setup, it can be used within workflows as an additional communication method when sending out information.

Updating WhatsApp messages in workflows
- Navigate to Workflows.
- Open the preferred workflow.
- Click + Add Task.
- Enter in a task name.
- Click + Add Trigger, select Candidate Status Updated in the menu that opens, and then select the desired status.
- Click the plus icon underneath the Start Point and select Send Communication.

- When the Send Communication box displays, navigate to the WhatsApp tab.
- Click the Select a whatsapp template selector and either choose from the menu that opens or search for a specific template.

- Save the task.
- Publish the workflow.
Request a survey
If you are wanting to send a survey to a candidate via WhatsApp, you can do so by completing the process below.
- Navigate to Workflows.
- Open the preferred workflow.
- Click + Add Task.
- Enter in a task name.
- Click + Add Trigger, select Candidate Status Updated in the menu that opens, and then Surveys: Send Survey.
- The Request Survey box will display. Select a survey from this heading.
- Once a survey is selected, you will find that the WhatsApp tab will list a default, read-only copy regarding the candidate wanting to share their feedback. This is a pre-approved WhatsApp template that allows candidates to provide their consent to receiving WhatsApp messages.
- Save the task.
- Publish the workflow.
Candidate experience
The candidate will receive the pre-approved WhatsApp message. Depending on the candidate’s response, their experience will differ:
- Yes/Opt-In – The first question of the survey will be initiated.

No/Opt-Out
- If KB is enabled – Your client's AI Assistant will respond with, "Anything else I can help you with?"
- If KB is disabled – Your client's AI Assistant will respond with, "No problem! Thank you for your time."
