Use Cases Create a standard job

This page covers building a standard job and how the user's experience will be after the job has been configured.

    Use Cases

    • This job type is best used if you need to have an external ATS's control over your jobs and are utilizing professional hiring use cases where the job will follow a standard requisition modal.

    Create a standard job

    1. Select the All Apps button in the top left corner of the header and then Settings in its drop-down menu.
    2. When the Settings page opens, select Job Manager under the Jobs section.
    3. Select the + Create New button and then Create a Job.
    4. Choose Standard and then Continue.
    5. If utilizing job templates, then an additional step will display where you can choose between From Template or Blank Job.
      • From Template – Select this to choose from a list of templates created for standard jobs. Make your selection and then select Continue in the bottom right corner of the modal.
      • Blank Job – Select this to create a job from scratch.
    6. Select the job category tied to this job and then Create.
    7. The Job Builder will then open, where you can complete the following linked steps for each section:
      • Overview
      • Job Description
      • Hiring Team
      • Candidate Journey
      • Screening
    8. Once all sections are completed, select the job's status in the left panel and then Publish from its drop-down menu.

The job can now be turned on in My Jobs for candidates to apply to!

If a Confirm Approval Cancelation modal appears when you click Publish, then it means that you edited a job that was pending approval to post within My Jobs. Clicking Confirm will cancel all approvals that this job has pending in My Jobs and leave the job in its original status (on or off). Learn more about the Approvals Engine here.
