Configuration Step #1: Update the System Attribute Step #2: Edit Job Data Packages Step #3: Update the job Step #4: Mark a job as sponsored in My Jobs Step #5: Enable the Standard Feed

If you sponsor jobs through third-party agencies, you have the ability to mark a job as sponsor within the Paradox system, letting the agency know that you want to sponsor it.

A Sponsor Job Custom Job Attribute supports the sending of sending sponsorship details to recruiting agencies. This node is automatically added to the Standard Job Feed, and once configured accurately, the necessary jobs will be listed in the feed as wanting to be sponsored.

    Configuration

First, set up the Sponsor Job Custom Attribute as having a Yes/No list select option and add this attribute to the necessary Job Data Package(s). Once configured, jobs can have this attribute selected as either sponsored (Yes) or not (No) in My Jobs.

Step #1: Update the System Attribute

Users with full access to the System Attributes permission will be able to complete the below steps.

    1. Select the All Apps menu in the top left corner of the header and then Settings in its drop-down menu.
    2. When the Settings page opens, select System Attributes under the Company section.
    3. From the left panel, select Job Attributes.
    4. Click into the Custom category and then the Sponsor Job custom attribute.
    5. In the drawer that opens, select List Select as the Attribute type.
    6. Navigate to the List Select Configuration tab of this drawer.
    7. Select the + Add List Item button.
    8. Enter Yes as the List Item. The Value field will be automatically updated to display this value.
    9. Select + Add List Item in the bottom right corner.
    10. Select the + Add List Item button again.
    11. Enter No as the List Item. The Value field will be automatically updated to display this value.
    12. Select + Add List Item in the bottom right corner.
    13. Select Save in the bottom right corner of the drawer.

Step #2: Edit Job Data Packages

Users with full access to the Job Data Packages permission will be able to complete the below steps.

    1. Select the All Apps menu in the top left corner of the header and then Settings in its drop-down menu.
    2. When the Settings page opens, select Job Data Packages under the Jobs section.
    3. Click into the preferred Job Data Package or create a new package.
    4. In the slide-out drawer that opens, select the + Add Job Data button.
    5. Scroll down until you see Custom job attributes.
    6. Check the box next to Sponsor Job.
    7. Click Apply.
    8. Once added, select the No value as the job’s default value so that users can switch it to Yes when wanting to sponsor the job.
    9. Click Save to finalize the changes made.

    Step #3: Update the job

Users with full access to the Job Manager permission will be able to complete the below steps.

    1. Select the All Apps menu in the top left corner of the header and then Settings in its drop-down menu.
    2. When the Settings page opens, select Job Manager under the Jobs section.
    3. Open the preferred job category and then job from the All Jobs list.
    4. In the Overview section, select + Add Details next to Additional Details at the bottom of the page.
    5. In the slide-out drawer that opens, select the Job Data Package tied to this job.
    6. Edit the job data values. This experience will differ depending on the job type set for the job.
      1. For standard jobs, update the job data values displayed below the selected Job Data Package.
      2. For multi-location jobs, complete the below steps:
        1. Select Configure Locations.
        2. In the new page of the drawer, select + Add Locations, choose the preferred locations, and then click Apply. These will be the locations that you add the Job Data Package to.
        3. Click into the area folder until you find the preferred location.
        4. Hover over that location, select the ellipses that appears, and then select Edit Job Data.
        5. On the new page of the drawer, update the Job Data Packages values as needed for this specific location.
        6. Select Save in the bottom right corner of the drawer.
        7. Repeat steps c-f for each location's job data.
    7. Select Save.
    8. Click Configure Permissions.
    9. Select Enable Editing in My Jobs.
    10. Select Save.
    11. Click Next in the bottom right corner of the drawer.
    12. Select Save on the following page.
    13. Ensure to publish the job to mark it as active.

Step #4: Mark a job as sponsored in My Jobs

Users with full access to the My Jobs permission will be able to complete the below steps.

    1. Select the All Apps menu in the top left corner of the header and then My Jobs.
    2. Find and click into the preferred active job.
    3. Within the Additional Details section, Sponsor Job will be listed and defaulted to No. Update this to Yes.
    4. Select Update Job Posting.

The jobs that are turned on and have a Sponsor Job attribute value of Yes will notify the third party that they want to sponsor this job.

Step #5: Enable the Standard Feed

Users with full access to the Job Distribution permission will be able to complete the below steps.

    1. Select the All Apps menu in the top left corner of the header and then Settings in its drop-down menu.
    2. When the Settings page opens, select Job Manager under the Jobs section.
    3. From the left panel, select Distribution.
    4. Enable the Standard Job Feed toggle, if it is not already enabled.
    5. Select Save in the upper-right corner of this section.
    6. Select the widget’s action menu, or ellipses, and then Copy Feed.

The feed will include this Sponsor Job attribute with the value saved for each job. This feed should be sent to your third-party recruiting agency so that they can see which jobs should be sponsored and which should not.
