Apply/Chat-to-Apply: Job search engagement not allowed
The following provides an overview of additional Job Search feature logic that is either built-in by default or can be configured under the right conditions.
The default logic that is embedded into both Apply & Chat-to-Apply is to not allow a job search engagement to trigger in the following cases:
-
The candidate is in the middle of screening questions.
- This logic exists to eliminate use cases where a candidate’s answer to a screening question can be misinterpreted as a job search query (i.e. answering a screening question like “What is your previous job title?”)
- Candidates can trigger job search during the Contact Information questions only, in case they would like to pull out of a screening conversation or application and look for a different job to apply to.
- After answering these questions, however, your AI Assistant will take any job search query as the answer to the previous screening question asked.
-
The candidate is sent or in the process of completing a task.
- This logic ensures that candidates who are assigned a task or working on a task can only trigger job search after they have fully completed the action necessary. Statuses include In-Progress statuses, Send [insert task] statuses (Send Conversation, Send Application, etc.), Pending statuses, and Invite to Interview, among others.
-
The candidate is in the Assessment stage.
- It's uncommon for job search to occur at this stage, so logic has been implemented to prevent candidates from triggering job search while in the Assessment stage, ensuring a consistent candidate experience.
