When utilizing the internal job title feature, you can provide one job title to candidates (external job title) while referring to it as a different job name in the CEM (internal job title). This helps internal team members understand the jobs they are hiring for in comparison to the job titles shown to candidates.

Use cases

• A team who wants to refer to a job differently than they may market the job
  • Example:
    • Internal title: Crew Member (Evening) 
    • External title: Crew Member

Best practices for implementation

When distributing jobs and sourcing for candidates, it is important to follow job title best practices. Job boards like Indeed prioritize jobs with simple and understandable job descriptions and job titles. 

Configuration

Users with full access to Client Setup can complete the below steps. If needed, please contact a Company/Account Admin or CS Representative for assistance.

1. Select the All Apps menu in the top left corner of the header and then Settings in its drop-down menu.
2. When the Settings page opens, select Client Setup under the Paradox Tools section.
3. Client Setup will then open. From the left panel, scroll down to and open the Job Management section.
4. Under the Conversational ATS section, toggle on Allow Internal Job Title.
5. Save the page.

Job titles in the Job Builder

When enabled, there will be two fields for naming the job in the Overview section of the Job Builder:

1. Public Job Name – This will be displayed to the candidate when applying to this job. 
   • Note: The Public Job Name field will replace the Job Name field currently listed. Any existing value should migrate here and should remain required. 
2. Internal Job Name – This will be displayed to the hiring team when searching for this job. The Internal Job Name field will be an optional field.

Job titles displayed in the CEM

Jobs that have an internal job name will have their internal name displayed as the main job title in the CEM.

Add New Candidate drawer

When manually adding a candidate to the CEM, the internal job titles will display to the user.

Candidate Summary

Whether you are adding the Internal Job Title Job Attribute in the Candidate Summary Builder or viewing the job title in the Candidate Summary of the Candidate Profile, users will see the internal job title and can hover over it to view the public job title as well.

Filter Modal

The Job filter within the filter modal will include the internal name of the job followed by the public job title in parenthesis for quick reference.
