Edit the default job status timeline Create custom job status timelines

Create and manage the timelines that your jobs should remain open in the system. These timelines can be tied to as many jobs as needed, with the default timeline serving as a catch-all for any remaining jobs.

Only users with full access to the Timelines permission can create and manage timelines in Job Manager.

Edit the default job status timeline

The default timeline will apply to all jobs that don't meet the criteria set for custom timelines. To edit the default timeline,

    1. Navigate to Job Manager. You can do this by selecting the All Apps menu in the top left corner of the header and then Settings in its drop-down menu. When the Settings page opens, select Job Manager under the Jobs section.
    2. From the left panel, select Timelines.
    3. Click into the Default Timeline row in the Timelines list.
    4. When the Timeline Builder opens, set the Start Timeline values, which include:
      • Posting Job – Select Immediately or Delay Job Posting.
      • Delay Duration – If you selected Delay Job Posting, enter a number and select Hours or Days.
      • Job Posting Type – Select Internal, External, or External & Internal.
        • Note: This will reflect your job posting type settings on your account. Click here to learn more.
      • Posting Duration – Define the duration of time that the job posting should be open by entering a number in days or hours.
    5. Select Save in the upper-right corner of the Start Timeline box.
    6. From the End Timeline box, select the Action that will take place when the posting duration is met. Options include:
      • Close the job
      • Notify the Hiring Team
    7. Select Save in the upper-right corner of the End Timeline box.
    8. (Optional) To view the jobs that are currently targeted, select the Settings section of the builder and then the # Jobs Targeted in the upper-right corner of the section.
    9. Select Publish in the bottom of the left panel.
    10. The Enable button under the Default Timeline header in the left panel will be made available. Select this to enable the default timeline.

    15. If selecting Use Job Targeting, set your conditions based on the jobs you want to target. You can use the + AND and/or + OR buttons to make this targeting more complex, and select + Add Rule Set to add rule sets.

You can target based on both standard and custom Job Attributes and Location Attributes.

    1. In the bottom of the left panel, select Publish.

If you selected the Manually Add to Jobs option for assigning jobs to the timeline, then you can add jobs via the Job Builder or from My Jobs. Click here to learn more.
