Configuration Step #1: Enable Job Posting Types Step #2: (Optional) Enable internal jobs in job search Job search settings for job posting types Step #3: (Optional) Candidate types (internal/external)

When using Job Posting Types, you are able to determine whether jobs are internal or external. This guide walks through the configuration process to enable this feature.

    Configuration

Step #1: Enable Job Posting Types

Only users with full access to Client Setup can complete this step. If needed, contact your Company/Account Admin or CS Representative for assistance.

    1. Select the All Apps menu in the top left corner of the header and then Settings in its drop-down menu.
    2. When the Settings page opens, select Client Setup under the Paradox Tools section.
    3. Client Setup will then open. Scroll down to and open the Job Management section from the left panel.
    4. Toggle on Job Posting Types.
    5. Select Save to apply changes.

Step #2: (Optional) Enable internal jobs in job search

New accounts and existing accounts using Conversational ATS Jobs will have this setting defaulted to off while existing accounts using Client Jobs or Integrated ATS Jobs will have this toggle enabled.

You have the option to allow internal jobs to be searchable in job search. To do this, follow the steps below.

    1. From the left panel, open the Job Search section of Client Setup.
    2. Toggle on the Include internal jobs in job search setting.
    3. Select Save to apply changes.

Job search settings for job posting types

The below chart reviews the logic for how the Client Setup toggles work for Integrated ATS Jobs, Client Jobs, and Conversational ATS Jobs.

Client Setup Toggle – Include internal jobs in job search

Job Posting Type (Conversational ATS jobs only)

Standard Job Attribute Value = job_posting_type

Standard Job Attribute Value = is_internal

Paradox Standard XML Feed – Account and Parent Level (Conversational ATS Jobs only)

Job Board Feeds (Conversational ATS jobs only)

    Job Search Service/Career Sites/Job Alerts

Toggle off Internal Internal True Job should not be available  Job should not be available  Job should not be available
Toggle on Internal Internal True Job should not be available  Job should not be available  Job should be available
Toggle off or on External External  False Job should be available  Job should be available  Job should be available

    Toggle off or on

External and Internal External and Internal True Job should be available  Job should be available  Job should be available

The Job Posting Type attribute can be used to configure Job Search Parameters (Job Targeting) across various channels, including Widget Conversations and Phone Numbers. This attribute supports multiple selected values for flexible targeting. For example, by configuring a parameter to select only Internal jobs, you ensure that only jobs for internal candidates appear on that specific search channel (like an internal career site).

Step #3: (Optional) Candidate types (internal/external)

    • New accounts: Internal and external candidate type logic is enabled by default. The Candidate Type (Internal/External) setting does not display in Client Setup. Skip this step.
    • Existing accounts: This setting still displays in Client Setup. If Job Posting Types is also visible under Job Management, Candidate Type (Internal/External) may need to be enabled before job posting type behavior works as expected.

Scroll down to and open the Job Search section from the left panel.
    4. Toggle on Candidate Type (Internal/External).
    5. Select Save to apply changes.

This setting allows you to display the correct job postings, routes candidates to the right application URLs, and tags their profiles with their candidate type across the account.

You can define the Audience Type through a range of different products/features:

    • Data Feeds
    • Career Sites
    • Web Management (widget conversation, embedded conversations, default sites, landing sites, recruiting sites)
    • Channels (phone numbers, WhatsApp phone numbers, keywords)
    • Events
    • Campaigns
    • Invite to Apply
    • Add new candidate functionality in the Candidate Inbox
