Create and edit conditions for the job details shown to candidates in a job search conversation
Table of Contents
Setting conditions for job search results ensures that the necessary job data points are shown to certain candidates depending on if they meet the set targeting rules. Conditions that are created are applied to all aspects of the Job Search Results Builder and can be created or edited from any page within the builder.
Set conditions
Step #1: Create conditions for displaying job data to candidates
Conditions can be created and filtered from the conditions selector in the Job Search Results Builder.
- Select All Apps in the top left corner of the header and then CMS from its drop-down menu.
- From the left panel, select Job Search Results Builder.
- The List View section will then open. Since conditions can be created from any of these builder sections, you can complete any of the two navigation options:
- Select Edit Condition – Simply select the Edit Condition button in the upper-right corner of the section.
-
Open from the conditions selector:
- Select the conditions selector in the upper-right corner of this section, which should display Default as its option.
- Note: The Default option is the catch-all option for Job Search results and includes no conditions.
- Select the + Add Condition button at the bottom of its drop-down menu.
- Select the conditions selector in the upper-right corner of this section, which should display Default as its option.
- A Condition Criteria slide-out drawer will open. If you see an additional + Add Condition button, select it. If it opens to a blank condition, then skip this step.
- Enter a name for your condition. This will display in the condition selector.
- Select the Targeting Rules, or the primary data point that drives the need to conditionally display data to the candidate. This can be a Job or Location Attribute.
- Select the Matches option, in which the Input value relates to the Targeting Rule.
- Enter the Input.
- Add additional conditional statements per criteria via the + AND / OR buttons.
- Select Save.
- Repeat steps #4-10 for all necessary conditions.
- Once all conditions are made and saved, the page will return to the initial slide-out page and list all saved conditions. Select Apply in the bottom right corner of the drawer to apply the newly created conditions to Job Search results.
- You will then need to set the data points by condition by following the steps below.
Step #2: Set data points for your conditions
After you create your conditions, you will then need to tie field values to each of the specific conditions. To do this, complete the steps below.
- Click into the conditions selector in the upper-right corner of the List View section. This will most likely be defaulted to Default.
- From the list that opens, select the first condition set.
- The section will update to the default permissions set for this condition. Update the fields following the process outlined here.
- Select Save in the upper-right corner of the section.
- Repeat these steps for all conditions you created.
- Navigate to a different section of the Job Search Results Builder, ensure you have the same condition selected, and repeat steps #3-6.
This will apply the changes made to display when the selected condition is met.
Edit or delete conditions
Conditions can be edited from any section of the Job Search Results Builder.
- Select All Apps in the top left corner of the header and then CMS from its drop-down menu.
- From the left panel, select Job Search Results Builder.
- The List View section will then open. From this section or any other section, select the Edit Condition button in the upper-right corner.
- A slide-out drawer will open and include all conditions. From here, you can:
- Edit a condition – Click into any user-created condition and make edits to the desired condition.
- Delete a condition – Select the trash can icon next to the desired condition to delete it.
- Once all desired changes are made, select Apply in the bottom right corner of the drawer to apply the newly created conditions to job search results.
