Opt-out keywords Candidate/user experience Additional candidate logic Soft resubscribe logic

Soft unsubscribes are when candidates or employees use opt out language determined by NLP to unsubscribe from communications in Paradox and not Twilio or carriers. Your AI Assistant will confirm that they want to opt out of messaging, which prevents them from receiving any system messages. However, candidates and users can always resubscribe at a later time.

    Opt-out keywords

The following words can be used for soft unsubscribing or resubscribing to Paradox communications:

    Subscription Type Paradox Keywords
    Opt-out
    • take me off your list
    • i don't want to receive texts anymore
    • stop sending me texts
    • stop texting me
    • stop texting
    • bye stop texting me
    • unsubscribe me
    • remove me
    • stop now
    • stop now!
    • stop now !
    • remove me from your system
    • stop talking to me then

    Candidate/user experience

Below are steps that define when an individual soft unsubscribes via SMS/WhatsApp.

    1. An individual sends something that suggests they want to opt out, such as “I don’t want to hear from you anymore” or “Please don’t text me”.
    2. Your AI Assistant detects the opt-out intent via NLP.
    3. Your AI Assistant asks the person, “I understand that you want to unsubscribe from receiving any of our new messages. Is that correct?”
    4. The individual responds with “Yes” or similar.
    5. Your AI Assistant will send a hardcoded opt-out message:
      • SMS: “You are unsubscribed from #messaging-brand-name. No more messages will be sent. Reply HELP for help or smshelp@paradox.ai.”
      • WhatsApp: “You are unsubscribed from #messaging-brand-name. No more messages will be sent. Reply HELP for help or smshelp@paradox.ai.”

The individual's phone number is now unsubscribed from all SMS/WhatsApp coming from the phone number they sent the keyword to. No further messages from the phone number will reach this person.

    Additional candidate logic

Along with the above changes, the following will take place for candidates specifically:

    • All candidates and applications using the unsubscribed phone number will have their phone number marked as unsubscribed and greyed-out in their profile's Candidate Summary.
    • All candidate conversations and applications using the same candidate phone number will have an unsubscribed milestone within their conversation, even if they are under different candidate names/profiles (different candidate IDs).
    • If the candidate’s only method of communication was SMS, they will be moved to the Unsubscribed folder.
    • If the candidate also has an email on file, they will not be moved to the Unsubscribed folder.
