Table of Contents
The Apply Invitation campaign type streamlines the process of inviting candidates to apply for jobs directly from a campaign. Instead of manually copying and pasting job links, recruiters can select one or more jobs and send a branded, templatized invitation to candidates. This feature helps increase applicant conversion rates, saves time, and provides clear metrics on campaign effectiveness.
Use cases
- High-volume hiring: Send a single campaign to invite candidates to apply for multiple open roles (e.g., new store openings).
- Targeted outreach: Invite candidates to apply for hard-to-fill roles with a personalized message.
- Talent community engagement: Convert passive talent into applicants by sending relevant job opportunities.
- Brand-specific campaigns: For multi-brand organizations, send job invitations tied to a specific brand.
Candidate experience
The candidate will receive the communication from the delivery channel selected.
- For Email: The first four jobs are shown, with a View More button if more are included.
- For SMS: Candidates receive a link or a text list, depending on your settings.
When Apply Now is selected, then a job posting page with all of the jobs included in the communication will display. If a specific job was selected from the communication, then the job posting page will display its job description instead.
Candidates may have to accept your terms and conditions, based on whether Job Search is enabled for your account or not. If this is required, then once they’ve accepted, then candidates can review the available jobs and begin applying or searching for their preferred job. When they have completed the application process, then they will be able to return to the list of available jobs and/or be able to complete a job search with your AI Assistant. Any jobs that they applied to will include an Applied tag.
Note on Multi-Application Search and Apply:
- If the candidate has not been moved automatically to a status that doesn’t support Search and Apply, the candidate will have the option to either return to the selected job or view the job description of the role they just finished applying to.
- If the candidate has been automatically moved to a status that doesn’t support Search and Apply, the candidate will be able to view the job description of the role they just finished applying to.
Terms and conditions
With Job Search enabled
When the candidate navigates to the widget from a received email campaign, the candidate will be required to accept the terms and conditions configured for your account and the following message:
Hi! I'm #ai-name, your virtual job assistant at #company-name! Before I can assist you in finding opportunities or answering any questions you may have, please accept our Terms of Use.
After the candidate accepts the terms, a notice will appear with the message:
Thanks for accepting our Terms of Use. Please select the job that you are interested in applying for.
With Job Search disabled
The terms and conditions won’t show when the candidate navigates to the widget from a received email or SMS campaign because they have accepted the terms and conditions when applying to a previous job.
Job display logic
- If Job Search is enabled for your account, then jobs will be presented using the customization set in the List View Builder (CMS > Job Search Results Builder > List View Builder).
-
If Job Search is not enabled for your account, then job details will display as:
- External Job Title
- Brand Name (only if Multi-Branding is enabled)
- Job Location
Campaign reminders
If a candidate has begun the application process from the original campaign sent but has not finished the application, then a reminder will be sent to the candidate based on what is configured for your account.
Candidate Profile indicator
Campaigns will only display in this tab for candidates who have received the campaign and engaged with it. If a candidate is sent a campaign but does not engage with it, the campaign will not display on this tab.
Within the Campaigns tab of the Candidate Profile, an Apply Invitation tag will display next to the campaign sent to them along with a link to view the candidate’s application for those who applied to a job via the campaign.
General logic and troubleshooting
- Event association: If you associate a campaign with an event, the Apply Invitation type is disabled. If you switch from Apply Invitation to event association, your campaign configuration will be cleared.
-
Inactive jobs:
- Only active jobs can be selected.
- If a job is turned off, then the job will be removed from its associated active campaigns.
- If a campaign only has one job associated with it and that job is turned off, then its associated campaign will be paused.
- When a candidate attempts to open an inactive job’s details from their email, then the job posting page will not display its job description, and the job will be removed from the campaign’s message.
- Job management toggles: If job management is disabled, all active Apply Invitation drip campaigns will be stopped, and this campaign type will be removed from the builder.
- Multi-brand accounts: Only jobs for the selected brand are available for selection.
- Send a Test: At least one job must be selected to use this feature.
FAQs
Can I send an Apply Invitation campaign for inactive jobs?
No. Only active jobs can be included.
What happens if a job in an active campaign is turned off?
If multiple jobs are associated with the campaign that includes the disabled job, then that job will be removed. If the campaign only includes the disabled job, then the campaign will be paused and the job will be removed.
Can candidates apply for more than one job from the same campaign?
Yes, but the Applied metric only counts the first application per candidate.
What if a candidate wants to search for other jobs?
Candidates can use the chat widget to search and apply for other jobs, even if they are not included in the campaign.
