The Audience Builder allows you to target Q&A responses for specific candidates and users. Audience Builder is used most effectively when the responses for an audience are specific and differentiated from the global response.

    Use cases

    • Teams who want to target responses for certain candidate characteristics and have unique responses for those candidates

    Best practices for implementation

    • The most common audience type is going to be based on Detected Location. This pulls the candidate’s IP address, so we recognize they are in XYZ location.
    • The best and most effective audience types are going to be Page URL and Detection Location.
      • These are general audience types that can be used for all candidates, and we do not have to rely on captured information to pull the audience effectively.
    • It is strongly encouraged to wait until a client is live before implementing multiple audiences. This way we can see how candidates are engaging with the client's AI Assistant and what questions are needed.
    • When creating audiences, be sure that the responses for those audiences are different than the global response.
      • There is no need to create an audience if the response is going to be identical to what is populated for the global response.

    Navigation

The Audience Builder will include both the Candidate Audiences and Employee Audiences lists, depending on permission. From these lists, you can view the audiences that have been created, their status, and when they were last edited.

To view and manage audiences, navigate to the CMS by selecting All Apps and then CMS. When the CMS opens, select Audience Builder from the left panel.

    Best practices and reminders

    • If you are creating and using a lot of audiences, the responses will be used less and become less effective as the targeted audience is narrowed.
    • When you are going live in multiple countries, the best audience to use is almost always going to be Detected Location.
      • The best recommendation is to fill out a knowledge base per country, so the responses are specific to that country.
      • The topics and intents that usually vary the most per country mostly lie within the Benefits and Policies section.
    • The more unique your responses are, the more you will get out of Audience Builder. Please do not use repetitive responses or the same response for each audience.
