Location job search logic

The following provides an overview of additional Job Search feature logic that is either built-in by default or can be configured under the right conditions.
When candidates use job search, the system follows the below location logic to determine the job(s) to share:
- If one job location matches the location mentioned, then the system will return the jobs matched.
- If multiple job locations match the location mentioned AND Multiple Location Matching is enabled, then we will show a list of locations for the candidate to select from to narrow the search parameter.
- If multiple job locations match the location mentioned AND Multiple Location Matching is not enabled, then we will choose a location based on the candidate’s IP address OR get the first location if we cannot get the candidate’s location.
- If no job locations match the location mentioned AND Multiple Location Matching enabled, then we will show a list of suggested locations.
- If no job locations match the location mentioned AND Multiple Location Matching is not enabled, then we will attempt to resolve a single location.
The location name that will display will be based on the closest match to the candidate’s search term or the preferred location:
- Location Name (e.g.: “Scottsdale, AZ..+ (n) locations”)
- Location City (e.g.: “Scottsdale..+ (n) locations”)
- Full Location (e.g.: “Scottsdale, AZ 85967 + (n) locations”)
- Location State (e.g.: “Arizona + (n) locations”)
FAQs
When a candidate is manually added to the system, will Job search still be included in the screening conversation when sent via campaigns?
No – the Job Search questions will be skipped in this scenario.
Will my AI Assistant recognize terms in relation to the candidate's zip code?
Your AI Assistant is trained to understand when “near” or “nearby” is added to the candidate’s zip code and will return jobs that are close to their zip code.
