The Indeed Apply integration allows candidates who apply on Indeed to have their information and answers to their screening questions shared directly with your Paradox account. Using Indeed Apply will not only allow a more seamless experience between Indeed and the CEM, but it will also lead to more applicants due to Indeed’s high traffic volume and easy application process.
Note: This job board can be utilized by both Conversational ATS and Integrated ATS customers.
Configuration
Step #1: Assign location IDs to locations
Candidates can only be scheduled for an interview for locations that have Location IDs assigned to them. If the location ID is missing, then the job will not properly map the location ID to the Candidate Profile.
- Select the All Apps button in the top left corner of the header and then Settings from its drop-down menu.
- When the Settings page opens, select Location Management under the Permissions section.
- Open the first area folder and then its first location to see if a location ID has been assigned to it.
- If this field is blank, ensure to enter in the location’s ID or consult with your team on the values that should be assigned to your locations.
- Save the location.
- Repeat this process for each location.
Step #1: Enable the feed
- The Indeed feed will first need to be a selected job feed in Job Settings. Click here to learn more.
- After the feed is added, return back to the Job Manager landing page.
- Open Job Distribution from the left panel.
- A disclaimer will display every 30 days to users who navigate to the Job Distribution section. Select the x icon or Done in order to show your acceptance of the third party opt-in.
- Toggle on the Indeed toggle from the new Indeed card.
- In the modal that opens, enter in the following details:
-
Indeed Company Name – This optional field’s purpose is to set a Source Name value within the Indeed Feed that identifies and associates the Paradox Job to the proper company within Indeed. This field should reflect the name of your parent company; for Franchises, the source name should be the name of the Franchise business.
- Note: If you are using Multi-branding, please note that the job posting can include the brand name and individual Indeed Email to display to candidates.
- Indeed Email – This main POC email address that is used by Indeed’s Trust and Security Team to ensure the legitimacy of the Job Postings and prevent fraud. This field is required. This contact will not be emailed, but their email address will be used for legitimacy purposes.

- Select Next in the bottom right corner of the modal.
- In the new page of the modal, select Indeed Apply as the way in which you want to distribute your jobs to Indeed. This will ensure that the application and screening process will take place on Indeed.
- Note: If you are an Integrated ATS customer, you will be able to enable this feature, but only Indeed will be able for selection.
- Click Next in the bottom right corner of the modal.
- An Indeed Disposition Integration opt-in message will then display, asking if you would like to opt in to the Indeed Apply Disposition Sync. This sync helps to enhance applicant quality by sharing status and disposition data with Indeed. By default, this toggle will be enabled.
- To opt in, simply click Next.
- To opt out, toggle off the Opt-in to sharing disposition data setting and then click Next to enable the feed.
- If you opted in, then you will need to review and map Indeed statuses to standard Paradox statuses. Simply select the status that best reflects Indeed’s status.
- Note: The system will have default status mappings to assist in this process.
- Select Confirm in the bottom right corner of the modal.
The feed will then be automatically sent to Indeed without the need to copy and manually send the feed URL to an Indeed Rep.
Step #3: Simplify job titles
Each job that utilizes Indeed Apply will need a simplistic job title that does not include any additional information about the job, such as a sign-on bonus. If this information is included, Indeed will not accept these jobs in their feed. To simplify your job titles, ensure to open each relevant job, make edits, and then publish the job.
- Example: “Marketing Manager - $1000 Sign On Bonus” → “Marketing Manager”
Step #4: Review and update conversational screening questions
Important Note: Document Upload and Video Response screening questions will be excluded from the Indeed Apply file since Indeed does not support them. Resumes will be optional for candidates to upload by default.
Candidate Attributes will be removed from screening questions when they are pre-populated in the Job Board Question field within a job. It is recommended to review and update any screening questions that may include attributes so that they will be read well by the candidate when applying on Indeed. This can be done from the Screening section of the Job Builder.
- Note: The Job Board Question field and the Value column for list-select questions will appear on all jobs when the Indeed Apply configuration is enabled (Step #2). These fields will be pre-populated based on the Conversation screening question and list select items (if applicable), respectively, by default.
