By default, a Remote location will be included in Location Management. This should be used when jobs are not tied to a specific location and can be completed anywhere.
- Note: While automatically enabled, it can be removed on the backend by your CS Representative.
Use cases
- Remote locations are used for jobs that are not tied to a specific location.
- If a job has a flexible structure, it could be available both at a location and remotely.
Configuration
By default, this feature will be enabled in Client Setup. If you want this feature disabled, then contact a user with full access to Client Setup and have them complete the steps below.
- Select the All Apps button in the top left corner of the header and then Settings in its drop-down menu.
- When the Settings page opens, select Client Setup under the Paradox Tools section.
- From the left panel of Client Setup, open the Apply section.
- Toggle off the Include Remote Location setting.
- Save the page.
Tie remote locations to jobs
When adding locations to a job, you can mark a position as remote by toggling on the Remote Position setting in the Add Location slide-out drawer. You are able to enable the remote setting as well as choose one or more locations location for the job.
Remote locations in system components
Job Search
If you have a location feed that includes remote data when processed, then this option will be selected for you.
Remote locations can be included in Job Search. This can be done by a user with full access to Client Setup completing the below steps.
- Select the All Apps button in the top left corner of the header and then Settings in its drop-down menu.
- When the Settings page opens, select Client Setup under the Paradox Tools section.
- From the left panel of the new page, open the Job Search section.
- Select Remote from the Search Parameters selector.
- Save the page.
Remote Job Attribute
A Remote Job Attribute will store whether your job is a remote job or not. This can then be used throughout the system when referencing the job.
Remote location in Data Feeds
Job feeds pulled into the system via Data Feeds will detect remote jobs and include that detail on the job in the CEM.
Remote location added to the employer's tax profile
Remote locations can be accounted for on your employer's tax profile. Your CS Representative can work to ensure that this included if including tax forms in your Paradox hiring process.
