Prompting candidates to further their job search when no results are returned
Table of Contents
The following provides an overview of additional Job Search feature logic that is either built-in by default or can be configured under the right conditions.
Under the Job Search section of Client Setup, a Prompt search expansion after setting is available and enables an alternative job search results experience for candidates when no results would otherwise be returned based on their search query. The purpose of this setting is to:
- Increase application traffic by offering candidates more job results proactively in the conversation.
- Boost positive candidate experiences by proactively leading the conversation, rather than ending it with a no results returned message.
If no results are returned, your AI Assistant will ask the candidate if they’d like to expand their search in one of the following ways:
- Any job_category in X location
- Any job_location for X job_category
This setting includes the following options to choose from:
- Never (the default - causes no changes to the standard job search experience)
- One attempt
- Two attempts
- Three attempts
- Four attempts
Candidate experience
- After X amount of attempts are made, your AI Assistant will send the message prompt for the Prompt search expansion after setting previously configured.
- If the candidate selects the option to expand their search based on all job categories, then the candidate’s search will expand to include any job title/category within the last location the candidate searched by.
- If the candidate selects the option to expand their search based on all job locations, then the candidate’s search will expand to include any job location with jobs based on the last job title/category the candidate searched.
