    2. At the end of the conversation, add the Event Specific Outcomes action. This will apply the event registration outcomes configured on the hiring event to the candidate conversation and end the conversation.

    3. Click the Draft status and then Publish in its drop-down menu to mark the conversation as active.

    Exclusions:

    Edit hiring event custom conversations

    1. Navigate to the Conversation Builder.
    2. Click the preferred hiring event custom conversation.
    3. Make the necessary changes.
    4. Click the Unpublished Changes status and then click Publish in its dropdown menu.

Update a conversation tied to a hiring event

If the conversation is attached to an upcoming hiring event, then a confirmation modal will appear when the Publish button is clicked. This modal will list the hiring events that are currently using this conversation. Click Confirm to apply the changes made.

    Invalid Event Registration Outcomes

When updated, the Event Registration Outcome(s) may have become invalid. This happens when the list options for the Set Candidate Status section change from job to group or vice versa.

    • For example: When creating a conversation and configuring the Area of Interest question (group), create an event with the outcome Do Not Register & Send Closing Message in the Registration tab. After that, the user edits the hiring custom conversation and changes the question from Area of Interest to Job Selection and republishes the conversation successfully.

When this occurs, an outstanding task will display on the Events Dashboards for Event Managers only. You can update the Event Registration Outcome(s) for upcoming hiring events by following the steps below.

    1. Click the All Apps button in the top left corner of the header.
    2. Click Events from its drop-down menu.
    3. Click into the corresponding hiring event from the Events page.
    4. Within the outstanding task, click the Edit Outcome button.

    5. The Registration step of the event will open for editing in the Event Builder. The impacted outcome will be outlined in red and a warning banner will appear. Click into this outcome to make the necessary changes.

    6. Click Save.
      • Note: When the outcome is updated to be valid, the red outline and the warning banner will disappear.
    7. Click Next from the Registration step.
    8. Save the event.

Candidate in Conversation While It’s Edited Logic: If the conversation that a candidate is currently completing is edited and re-published, then the candidate will continue the conversation that was republished and the next question on the now published conversation would be sent to the candidate.

    Lead Generation Events

This feature is only available when you have both Talent Community and Campus Events enabled for your account.

Lead Generation Event Conversations can be tied to Campus Events only and allow you to capture candidate information for a Lead Generation Event, where candidates can register for an event without having to apply to a job and are funneled into your Talent Community.

A Hiring Event Custom Conversation cannot have both job-related and Talent Community-related question types. Ensure to exclude any job-related question type from the conversation when building a Lead Generation/Talent Community conversation.

Follow the steps below to create this conversation:

    1. Create your event conversation.
    2. Select Hiring Event as your Conversation Targeting.
    3. Add all questions that require a candidate to add in their information.
    4. Add the Talent Community Opt-In question type.
    5. Toggle on Auto Opt-in candidates to talent community if you want to automatically opt the candidate into a Talent Community. In doing so, the question will be skipped. If you do not want to opt the candidate in automatically, then review and edit the default question, if preferred.
      • Note: The system is looking for a Yes or No response to this question type if the auto opt-in setting is not enabled.

    6. Add the Community of Interest (COI) question type. This will direct the candidate into their preferred community and will dictate the content that they receive over time while in the community.
      • Note: Active communities will be added to this question as they are created within the account, which will be presented to the candidate to choose from.

    7. Add the Community Screening question type. This question will ensure the candidate moves into any Community-specific screening questions.

    8. Add the Event Specific Outcomes question type at the end of the conversation. An End of Conversation section will then be added to the bottom of the conversation.
    9. Click into the conversation’s status and then click Publish.
