You have the ability to add a condition to any and each question within a section. Adding conditional tasks/questions allow for tailored candidate experiences when completing forms.
Add conditional tasks to a form
Users with full access to Forms will be able to complete the following steps.
- Select All Apps in the top left corner of the header and then Settings from its drop-down menu.
- When the Settings page opens, select Forms from the Jobs section.
- Open the preferred form and then section.
- Scroll down to the task that should be assigned to the condition.
- Select the task's action menu, or ellipses, and then Add Condition.
- A drawer will open where you can configure the condition criteria. Start by setting the Targeting Rules. Options include:

Previous Question – Includes questions displayed earlier in the form than the question being configured. Only question types matching the following can be used for targeting rules:
- Short Answer
- Paragraph
- Drop Down
- Multi Select
- Single Select
- Note: If a question does not have a title, then it will display in the list as #question-name.

Job Attributes – Includes Job Attributes on the account that can be referenced as a targeting rule.
- Note: If you have configured Live Job Attributes and/or Applied Job Attributes for the account, then you have the option of selecting between both of these job attribute sources.

Location Attributes – Includes Location Attributes on the account that can be referenced as a targeting rule.
- Note: If configuring conditional visibility for forms, sections, or questions based on location ID, please ensure that the Candidate Location ID is populated. If this field is blank, then the form/section/question will not display to the candidate, resulting in required forms not appearing as expected.

Previous Question – Includes questions displayed earlier in the form than the question being configured. Only question types matching the following can be used for targeting rules:
- When a targeting rule is selected, the operators will display based on the targeting or question type selected in the operators. Select the preferred operator from the Screen For selector.

- Enter or select the Value.
- When at least one condition is added, select Apply.
- Note: A condition icon will then display on the question.
- Save the section.
- Publish the form.
Edit a conditional task
Adding a condition will display a condition icon to display on the question. A user can edit the associated conditions by clicking on the icon or selecting Edit Condition from the task's action menu, or ellipses.
