Add a condition to a custom offer section Edit a customer offer section's conditions Custom section conditional targeting logic

Custom sections in offer letters allow unique details to be added to a generic or templated offer letter when it is applicable to candidates. This can be further conditioned to only showing custom sections when a candidate meets targeting rules set for those sections. This ensures that candidates are provided the correct information when applicable to them without having to create multiple types of offer letters.

Add a condition to a custom offer section

Users with full access to Offers can complete the below steps.

    1. Follow the process to create a custom offer section, outlined here.
    2. Once an offer is create and before you save the offer letter, select the condition, or fork, icon to the left of the Cancel button in the upper-right corner of the builder.
    3. A slide-out drawer will then open. Set the Targeting Rules based on Candidate, Job, and/or Location Attributes.
    4. Select your Matches option.
    5. Enter your Input value.
    6. You can then use the AND/OR or the + Add Rule Set to add more complex conditional criteria.
    7. When the condition is set in the preferred way, select the Save button in the bottom right corner of the drawer.
    8. Save the section.

When a condition is added to a custom offer section, then the condition, or fork, icon will have a blue dot display in its top left corner.

Edit a customer offer section's conditions

To edit conditions set for a custom offer section, simply navigate to the Offers page, open the preferred custom offer section, select the condition (fork) icon in the upper-right corner of the builder, and make the desired changes in the slide-out drawer that opens.

    Custom section conditional targeting logic

The below logic applies to conditions set for any custom section.

    • General Logic:
      • A Custom Section component should only allow one section to be applied.
      • If a section is targeted within a Custom Section component, then the section that is targeted will be automatically selected.
        • If the component is required, then the Custom Section selector will be disabled and read only.
    • If more than 1 section is targeted to 1 component – The order of custom sections matter in this case. The first section that is configured within the section group will automatically display, but the dropdown will still be enabled for the user to select the other section(s) that are also targeted.
      • For example:
        1. One section group is called “Relocation Arizona” and within this group, there are 3 custom sections:
          • “Relocation Phoenix” = targeting “IF Job Title Contains Manager”
          • “Relocation Tucson” = targeting “IF Job Title Contains Product”
          • “Relocation Flagstaff” = no targeting
        2. The “Relocation Arizona” section group was added to an offer via the Add Custom Section component.
        3. In the Candidate Inbox, a user is editing an offer for the Product Manager job before sending it to the candidate.
          • The “Relocation Arizona” group will be automatically updated to “Relocation Phoenix” since it is the first in the “Relocation Arizona” section group.
          • Users can update this selection if needed.
            • If this section is required – Then “Relocation Phoenix” and “Relocation Tucson” will display.
            • If this section is optional – Then “None,” “Relocation Phoenix,” and “Relocation Tucson” will display.
