Follow the steps below to create a new Candidate Journey.
Create a new journey
- Select the All Apps button in the top left corner of the header and then Settings in its drop-down menu.
- When the Settings page opens, select Journeys under the Automation section.
- Open the Candidate Journeys section.
- Select the + Create New button in the top right corner of the page.
- Name the Journey in the modal that appears.
- Select Create.
- The journey will then be added to the list. Open the new journey.
- Select the + Add Stage button under the journey’s stages in the left panel.
- A modal will open. Name your new stage.
- Select a stage type. Options include:
- Application – Contains all application statuses used during the application process.
- Assessment – Contains all the assessment statuses during the assessment process.

Automation – Open-ended stage to create hidden automation. Anything in this stage can trigger a workflow task, but will not change the candidate’s status.
- Note: When added, Automation stages will be listed at the bottom of the stages list.
- Background Check – Contains all the background check statuses used during the background check process.
- Conversation – Attach a conversation from the conversation builder to be sent to the candidate.

Custom – Open-ended stage used to build customized, flexible workflows.
- Note: When adding a custom stage, you can also add a custom status. Additional statuses can be added by clicking the + Add Status button under the initial status.
- Disposition – Contains all the disposition statuses used during any disposition process (rejects, disqualifications, cancelled interviews, etc.).
- Event – Contains all event scheduling and registration statuses used for different aspects of an event.
- Orientation Event – Contains all registration statuses used for different aspects of an orientation event.
- Form – Attach a company form to get more information from your candidates.
- Hire – Contains all the hire statuses used at the candidate being hired (final stage).
- Offer – Contains all statuses used to send offers and track acceptance.
- Onboarding – Contains all the onboarding statuses during the onboarding process.
- Realistic Job Preview Integration - Contains all Realistic Job Preview statuses during the Realistic Job Preview process.
- Scheduling – Contains all interview scheduling statuses used to build interview rounds.
- Scheduling - 2nd Round – Contains all interview scheduling statuses used to build 2nd interview rounds.
- Scheduling - 3rd Round – Contains all interview scheduling statuses used to build 3rd interview rounds.
- Scheduling - 4th Round – Contains all interview scheduling statuses used to build 4th interview rounds.
- Scheduling - 5th Round – Contains all interview scheduling statuses used to build 5th interview rounds.

Surveys – Contains all survey statuses used for different sections of the hiring process.
- Note: Additional stage types may display depending on your account configuration.
- Select Done.
- Repeat Steps #8-11 for each new stage.
- Edit the stage and its status, if needed (steps described below).
- Select Save Changes in the top right corner of the page.
- Select Publish Journey in the bottom of the left panel.
- The new journey will then be added to the Journeys list.
Reorder System Journey stages
You have the option to reorder journey stages, as needed. To do this,
- Click into the preferred journey.
- Select the settings icon next to the + Add Stage button in the left panel and then Reorder Stages.
- A modal will open and include all of the Journey’s stages. Click, drag, and drop the reorder (multi-dot) icon to the left of a stage to move it to the preferred order.
- Click Save.
