Users with full access to the Job Description Sections permission will be able to create and manage dynamic job descriptions from Job Manager.
Add a dynamic job description
- Select the All Apps button in the top left corner of the header and then the Settings app from its drop-down menu.
- When the Settings page opens, select Job Manager under the Jobs section.
- From the left panel, open the Job Descriptions Sections section.
- Select the + Create Section button in the upper-right corner above the list.
- A new section will open on the screen. Name the description section.
- Enter the preferred job description.
- Select the settings icon next to the Cancel button.
- In the drawer that opens, select where the section will automatically display on the job description:
- None – This is the default option and will not automatically position the section.
- Header – This automatically adds this section to the top of matching job descriptions.
- Footer – This automatically appends this section to the bottom of matching job descriptions.
- Select whether this job description section will be:
- Not Required – This is the default option and will not apply this section automatically to new jobs. Users will have to manually add not required sections to jobs as needed.
-
Required for all job descriptions – This job description section will be automatically applied to all new jobs.
- Note: Any published jobs will need to be re-published to include this section.
-
Required for targeted job descriptions – This job description section will be automatically applied to all new jobs when targeting is met.
- Note: Any published jobs will need to be re-published to include this section.
- Set the targeting rules based on Location and/or Job Attributes. When a candidate meets these set rules, then they will view this job description.
- Note: Work with your CS Representative if you need assistance in setting these rules.
- Select Update in the bottom right corner of the drawer to apply the changes made.
- Note: When a required section is added and/or targeting rules are applied to a section, then a blue dot will be added to the settings icon for reference.
- If Multilingual is enabled for your account, then you can choose the languages that will be supported for this description. To do this,
- Select the Multilingual selector.
- Choose the preferred languages.
- Click Apply.
- Note: When the description section is saved, then the section will be automatically translated into those selected languages.
- Select Save.
- Note: A badge icon and a toast notification will display if this section needs to be updated on the corresponding job. This is described more below.
- Repeat this process for each job description section.
- Once all job description sections are created, review any alerts that require action to be taken on the job and make those changes. Click here for more details on this step.
Updates to Default Placement or Targeting apply only to new jobs created moving. Edits to section content or Mark as Required automatically apply across both existing and new jobs.
Alerts to update jobs
Required sections will need to be re-published for the corresponding jobs. Two alerts will display to notify you of this action.
- A yellow badge will display with the total number of jobs that need to be updated next to the corresponding job description section. You can hover over this badge icon to view the jobs that need to be republished.
- A toast notification will also display at the bottom of the page, indicating the number of jobs that need to be updated and including a link to the Jobs section for easy navigation.
