When an approval request is sent, approvers will be notified to update the request status.
Approval request alert

Approvers will receive a web alert when they receive an approval request. Approvers can click this alert to open the campus event's Dashboard and update the request’s status.
Respond to a request
All campus events that are created will be listed with a Draft status when Campus Approvals is enabled for your account.
Step #1: Open request
You can open the request from one of two places:
- The event's Dashboard, which can be opened from the Events page or by clicking the web alert. When the dashboard opens, you can respond to the request within the Approval Status card.
- The Review Needed list under the Campus Plan section of the Events page. All approvers will have this new section added to their Events page. Open this list and then select the preferred events to view the Approve Event and Deny Event buttons.
Step #2: Approve or deny request
When the request is opened, you can either approve or deny the request.
Approve request

Once Approve or Approve Event is clicked, then an Approve Event modal will display where you will view the next approver in the process and then click Confirm and Send.
-
Note: If you are the final reviewer in the process, then the next approver will be listed as Final Approver.
If you approve a request from the Review Needed list, then an additional confirmation modal will open, notifying you of the requests that can be approved compared to those that cannot due to not being in the approval process. Click Confirm.
NEXT STEPS:
- Next Approver. Your request will then be sent to the next approver.
-
Final Approver. If you are the final approver, then the event will update to an Approved status, and event notifications will be sent out accordingly.
Deny request

Once Deny Event is clicked from the Review Needed list, then a Deny Events & Activities modal will open, notifying you of the events that can be denied and those that can’t be denied because they are not in an approval process yet. Click Confirm.

Once Deny is clicked or you confirmed the Deny Events & Activities modal, a Decline Event modal will display and include the name of the user who created the event. If relevant, enter in a custom response as to why this event was denied. Click Deny and Send.
NEXT STEPS:
-
Next Approver. Regardless of the approver’s order in the approval flow, the request will not be moved to the next approver, the event’s status will be listed as Denied, and the response that was left will be listed within the Approval Status card in the event's Dashboard.
