Watcher Alerts allow you to receive notifications about candidates that you have specifically interacted with at some point in the hiring process. The below guide outlines how to configure Watcher Alerts while you can learn more about Watcher Alert logic here.

    Configuration

Watcher Mode should be enabled on the backend of your account to utilize this feature. For users who have full access to Client Setup, you can enable this feature by completing the steps below.

    1. Select the All Apps button in the top left corner of the header and then Settings from its drop-down menu.
    2. When the Settings page opens, select Client Setup under the Paradox Tools section.
    3. Client Setup will then open. From the left panel, scroll down to and open the More section.
    4. Find the Watcher Mode section and toggle on the first setting under this header. This will allow you to view automatically assigned watchers and manually add new watches to candidates in the system.
    5. Underneath this setting, toggle on Add watch only filtering to Smart Alerts to allow users to set Watcher Alerts for Smart Alerts (process outlined below) in Alert Management.
    6. Select Save in the bottom right corner of this section.

    Enable Watcher Alerts

Once configured on the backend, you will have to complete the process below to enable Watcher Alerts.

    1. Navigate to Alert Management by first selecting the All Apps button in the top left corner of the screen and then Settings from its drop-down menu.
    2. When the Settings page opens, select Alert Management under the Preferences section.
    3. From the Alerts Management page, toggle on the following alerts:
      1. Candidate Message Alerts
      2. Scheduling Alerts
      3. Candidate Request Alerts
      4. Watcher Alerts
        • Note: If you do not turn on these alerts as well as the Watcher Alerts toggle, you will not receive Watcher Alerts.
    4. Save the page.

You will now receive alerts for candidates that you have interacted with or where you are listed as a watcher. This will apply to candidate message, candidate surveys, candidate requests, and scheduling alerts.

Enable Watcher Alerts for Smart Alerts

You can become a watcher on each Smart Alert keyword added to your Alert Management page. This will ensure that you are notified when one of the candidates you watch uses a Smart Alerts keyword.

To enable Watcher Alerts for Smart Alerts,

    1. On the Alert Management page, scroll down to the Smart Alerts for Candidates alert type.
    2. Next to the preferred keyword, select the three dot icon, or the ellipses, and then Enable watcher alerts.
    3. Save the page.

You will now be notified whenever a candidate uses that specific keyword.

    Disable Watcher Alerts for keywords

To disable Watcher Alerts for any of your Smart Alert keywords, then repeat the above process for each preferred keyword. By reselecting the Enable watcher alerts option, it will deselect it and remove the Watcher Alert.
