Build Lead Generation events Step #1: Create a hiring event custom conversation Step #2: Create a campus event Step #3: Add Lead Generation custom conversations Step #4: Finalize the event Candidate experience

Lead Generation events allow you to create proactive recruitment initiatives that help pipeline early talent in careers by helping you capture essential information and adding these candidates into a Talent Community. These events specifically do not require candidates to apply for a job in order to register for an event.

    Build Lead Generation events

Lead Generation events involve creating a hiring event custom conversation, building a campus event, and selecting the corresponding custom conversations in the Registration section of the event.

Step #1: Create a hiring event custom conversation

You will need to create a Lead Generation conversation, where your AI Assistant will ask the Candidate relevant questions and then include Talent Community question types to either provide the Candidate the option of joining a Talent Community or automatically opting them into choosing a preferred Talent Community. Click here to learn the process for building this conversation.

Step #2: Create a campus event

Create a campus event that will serve as your Lead Generation event. When you reach the Registration section, move to Step #3.

Step #3: Add Lead Generation custom conversations

When you open the Registration section of your event, select the Lead Generation event conversation for both the Pre-Event Registration and On-Site Registration conversations.

    • Note: You can build out a range of conversations that help gather candidate information before and during the event.

Important Note: Selecting a job-related hiring event custom conversation will require you to add jobs to the event. Ensure that you select a Lead Generation event conversation in this step.

    Step #4: Finalize the event

Add your event tools in the Tools section and then click Create to finalize the event. Your Lead Generation event is then ready for registrants!

    Candidate experience

When the candidate reaches the Talent Community opt-in question type, one of the following will occur:

    • If automatic opt-in is not enabled – The candidate will receive the Talent Community opt-in question displayed in the black box above and will need to respond with a Yes or No answer. If they respond with Yes, then they will receive the Community of Interest (COI) question. From here, they can select their preferred Talent Community.
    • If automatic opt-in is enabled – The candidate will not receive the Talent Community opt-in question displayed in the black box above and will instead receive the Community of Interest (COI) question. From here, they can select their preferred Talent Community.

Once a selection is made by the candidate, then the conversation will continue based on the Event Specific Outcomes set for the event.
