Use cases Add multiple response sections Candidate experience

Custom form sections include the option for candidates to enter more than one response as needed. This can be extremely beneficial when asking about previous convictions and/or multiple previous addresses, among other common questions.

It is important to note that a section and a task cannot both have multiple responses set.

    Use cases

    • Collect multiple inputs for the same question or question set.

    Add multiple response sections

Users with full access to Forms can easily add multiple responses to a custom section to ensure that the maximum number of candidate responses is applied to each task within that section instead of on a per-task basis.

    To do this,

    1. Select the All Apps menu in the top left corner of the page and then Settings from its drop-down menu.
    2. When the Settings page opens, select Forms under the Jobs section.
    3. The Candidate Forms list will then open. Open the preferred form.
    4. Add a Custom Section to the form.
    5. Add at least one task to the section.
    6. A settings icon will then display next to the Cancel button for this section. Click this icon.
      • Note: This will be disabled until at least one task is added to the section.
    7. The Section Settings drawer will then open. In the Maximum Responses Allowed field, enter in the maximum number of responses that candidates can enter for each question in this section. You can enter up to 20 as the total number of responses accepted.
    8. Select Confirm in the bottom right corner of the drawer.
      • Note: The settings icon will then display a blue dot to indicate that a configuration was made in the drawer.
    9. Select the section task's action menu, or ellipses, and then Field Mapping from its drop-down menu.
    10. A modal will open. Click into a response.
    11. Select the System Attribute for that field. This selector allows you to map and store the candidate's response as a System Attribute value in the system, which can then be seen in the Candidate Profile, among other system areas.
    12. Select Save.
    13. Save the section.
    14. Complete the rest of the form.
    15. When finished, publish the form to mark the updated form as active.

    Candidate experience

When the candidate completes their form, custom sections that allow for multiple responses will include an + Add Another Response button after the question to allow the candidate to enter in the necessary number of responses.
