You can easily target certain Talent Communities via widget conversations so that candidates are directly routed to a specific community without being asked which community they want to join.
Option #1: Set catch-all conversation to Talent Community
- Navigate to Web Management.
- Create a new or open an existing widget conversation.
- In the Catch-all Conversation section, select Talent Community as the option for How would you like to start the interaction?.
- Select the preferred Talent Community from the Which talent communities will you use? selector. By default, All Talent Communities will be selected.

- Select your desired public or private communities.
- Click Apply to apply the changes.
- Click Save & Finish to create/update the widget.
Once specific Talent Communities are selected: The Community of Interest question will be skipped in the candidate’s Talent Community conversation.
Option #2: Target Talent Communities with targeting rules
You can also target a specific community via targeting rules within a widget conversation. To do this, complete the steps below.
- Navigate to Web Management.
- Create or open the preferred widget conversation.
- Scroll down to the Conversation Targeting section.
- Enter the targeting rule name in the open field and then click + Add.

- When the Edit Targeting Rule modal opens, select Talent Community as the option for the How would you like to start the interaction? setting.
- A new Which talent communities will you use? selector will then display. Select the public or private Talent Communities that you want to include for this targeting rule.

- Click Apply.
- Click the + Add Condition button.
- Enter the Page URL condition for this targeting rule.

- Click Save in the bottom right corner of the modal.
- Click Save and Finish in the bottom right corner of the drawer to mark this widget as active and available for candidates to use.
