The Shifts feature is only available for Conversational ATS customers and allows users to define and manage specific work schedules directly within your jobs. By providing clear shift details, users can ensure candidates have a precise understanding of the required work hours and days before they apply.

This feature is not available for Integrated ATS customers.

    Use cases

    • A user needs to configure multiple, different shifts for a single job based on specific locations or other attributes.
    • A recruiter wants to automatically screen candidates based on their availability and how well it matches the available shifts for a job.
    • A user wants to include a Shift Selection component directly in a job offer to confirm a candidate's preferred work schedule before they accept.

    Types of shifts

There are two types of shifts available for jobs:

    • Basic shifts – These shift types display only as their names (e.g., Morning, Afternoon) and are applied to all business days. When candidates view basic shifts during the Apply process, they will select them based on their name only and not on a per day basis.
    • Advanced shifts – These shift types display as their names (e.g. Morning, Afternoon), but also allow users to set times and days tied to them. Candidates who view these shift types during the Apply process will be able to select by shift name and times on a per day basis.

    Configuration

Use this configuration guide to enable and set up the Shifts feature.

View and manage shifts on a job or offer

When a user turns on a job or fills in the details to send an offer, they will be able to view any targeted shifts for each and select additional ones, if necessary. Click here to learn more about each of these processes.

View candidate shift selections on their Candidate Profile

If added to the Candidate Profile's Candidate Summary section via the Candidate Summary Builder, then users can view the shifts that a candidate selected for a specific job.

    Permissions

Work with your CS Representative to determine which user roles should have access to configure shifts. By default, Company/Account Admins will have full access to configure shifts on jobs. However, permissions for other users will need to be adjusted as needed for the following:

    • Job Manager – This provides users full access to the Job Manager.
      • Jobs – This provides users full access to creating and editing jobs in the account.
