Advertising is not required to post a job from Paradox. This is an optional configuration for the user.
When SEEK is enabled on your account, users with permission to manage SEEK have access to creating advertisements in the Advanced section of the job modal.
- Note: Contact your CS Representative to update your SEEK advertisement permissions when enabling a job in My Jobs.
Creating an advertisement
To promote a job on SEEK, you will first need to have the Advertising permission enabled for your user role. Then, complete the steps below.
- Select the All Apps button in the top left corner of the header and then My Jobs from its drop-down menu.
- Turn on the preferred job.
- In the job modal that opens, select Setup Advertising under the Advanced section.
- Enter in the relevant details for this advertisement.
- Note: Advertisement prices vary based on many factors, such as the demand and supply for candidates for the advertised role. Prices shown are subject to change and only reflect the current day.
- In the Questions for Candidates section, toggle on or off Send Screening Questions to SEEK.
When SEEK is enabled on your account, the following will pre-populate in all jobs if screening questions are sent to SEEK:
- Job Board Questions will pre-populate for all screening questions.
- List-Select Values will pre-populate for all list items for all list select questions.
- Enter in the remaining advertisement details around your privacy details and points of contact.
- Note: You can add up to five contact person(s) to support a SEEK job posting.
- After completing all required sections in the Setup Advertising modal, select the Save button.
Once the user saves all of the advertisement information, they are redirected to the job modal where they can update any other settings and officially turn on the job.
Editing the job posting
In My Jobs, if you edit an active job, you can review and edit its advertisement. Changes made to an active SEEK job posting can cause a new ad to be created, resulting in increased advertisement costs.
The following edits to a job posting may result in an increased advertisement cost:
- Job Title
- Job Category
- Job Location
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- If the job title is changed in the Job Builder, the job title on active advertisements will not change. The user needs to update the job title in My Jobs for it to show on an active advertisement. The orange lightning icon will display to indicate the discrepancy between ad job titles and current job titles.
- The Select an Ad Type panel dynamically calculates the cost whenever there are edits made to an active job posting. The user needs to select a new advertisement type before proceeding and confirming the changes.
- Removing a location entirely from a job results in the advertisement being closed on the job board. The user needs to confirm the removal of the location.
Permissions
Users with full access to Job Advertising will be able to create an advertisement while any users with the Manage permissions will be able to close an advertisement.
