Use cases Best practices for implementation Configuration Step #1: Enable keyword mapping Step #2: Add keywords

This feature enhances the job search experience with the help of NLP by matching keywords sent from the candidate to your available jobs. When enabled, this experience will automatically occur, but you do have the option to further advance this process with customized keyword mapping.

Keyword mapping should only be used for true mapping needs, based on how live candidates are searching for jobs. This feature is intended to ensure candidates get the right results based on their search patterns; it is not intended to manipulate our search algorithm prior to go-live, before we have seen how candidates are actually searching for jobs.

    Use cases

    • Improve Candidate Matching: Associate the common terms we see candidates using to search for jobs post go-live, with the job data in your job feed.
      • Example: We see candidates searching for "Administrative Assistant", but the client titles this role as "Office Coordinator". Keyword mapping would ensure relevant job listings are returned, even if the job titles candidates search for differ.

    Best practices for implementation

Note: It is extremely important to use keyword mapping sparingly.

    Configuration

    Step #1: Enable keyword mapping

Users with full access to Client Setup will be able to complete the below steps.

    1. Select All Apps in the top left corner of the header and then Settings in its drop-down menu.
    2. When the Settings page opens, select Client Setup under the Paradox Tools section.
    3. Client Setup will then open. From the left panel, scroll down to and open the Job Search section.
    4. Toggle on the following settings under the Job Search section of Client Setup:
      • Keyword Mapping – This will allow you to create customized keyword mapping for Job Search. This process is defined below.
      • Advanced Keyword Mapping (Early Stages Setting) – This will enable advanced keyword mapping, which will compare the job title mentioned by a candidate against a database of alternative job titles in order to find which title best matches the client’s jobs and return those job results in real-time.
    5. Save the page.

Logic Prioritization: Manual Keyword mapping settings take priority over Advanced Keyword mapping.

    Step #2: Add keywords

You can map datapoints from your job feed to commonly used terms by following the steps outlined here. Once configured, this keyword mapping will applied to any future candidate conversation.
