Job Posting Locations give you a way to advertise a job across broader or regional areas without affecting how candidates are assigned.

Adding a Job Posting Location to a job allows it to appear in job search results and job descriptions to help candidates discover the role in nearby areas without creating a record in Location Management. This keeps your location data clean and purposeful while expanding your job's reach to more candidates.

For Conversational ATS customers, this feature only supports Standard Jobs and not Multi-location Jobs.

    Use cases

    • Improve job discovery in candidate search: Teams who want to advertise jobs more broadly for candidate search, while still keeping the true exact/hiring location intact.
    • Reduced Location Management Overhead: Teams who currently use posting locations by leveraging complex workarounds with drawbacks (system treats posting locations as true hiring locations).

This feature is not applicable to customers who only use or provide Paradox with exact hiring locations, with no need for separate posting or advertising locations.

Job locations and job posting locations

Every job in Paradox can have two types of locations attached to it:

    • Job Locations are the exact, physical sites where candidates are assigned. These map to records in Location Management and are what Paradox uses for candidate assignment, targeting, and reporting.
    • Job Posting Locations are broader or regional areas attached to a job for advertising purposes only. They help candidates find the job through search without creating a Location Management record or affecting how candidates are assigned. A job in Phoenix, for example, could have its Job Posting Locations set for Tucson and Mesa, so candidates in those areas can discover the role, even though they'd be assigned to the Phoenix location.

Job Posting Location Attributes are available to use in the following areas for display purposes:

    • Job Descriptions
    • Job Posting Pages
    • Job Search Results Builder

    Limitations

    • A maximum of 50 Job Posting Locations per job is supported.
    • Job Posting Locations cannot be sent through job distribution feeds.
    • For jobs sent in a feed, each job must still have at least one exact Job Location, or be designated as remote.
