The purpose of Job Data Packages is to have the ability to attach job data on the location level of a job, such as base pay, minimum age, and employment type, among others. You also have the ability to mass update these data points easily, which will be helpful when requirements are enforced for jobs within a state.
Use cases
- Team members who want/need to mass update key data points on a job, such as base pay or employment type.

Blue vs. red asterisk
When updating job data packages from the Job Data Packages, Job Manager, and/or My Jobs pages, you will see different asterisk colors that will display based on the permissions and logic set for each attribute.
- Red asterisk – The attribute is required on the current page.
- Blue asterisk – The attribute is not required while editing the package on the current page but it will be required at some point in the job posting process (e.g., it may not be required in the Job Data Packages page, but it is required on the Job Manager page).
- No asterisk – The attribute is not required at all before posting a job.
