When canceling an event interview, the experience will differ depending on whether the candidate or the employee initiated the interview cancellation.

Candidate-initiated cancellation

When an event interview is canceled by a candidate, then their event registration will also automatically be canceled. Your AI Assistant will then send the following message to the candidate:

I have canceled your event registration and your upcoming #interview-duration #interview-type with #company-name scheduled on #interview-time.

The candidate’s status will then be updated to Event Interview Canceled and then Event Registration Canceled.

Employee-initiated cancellation

When an event interview is canceled by an employee, they have the option to automatically cancel the candidate’s event registration as well. 

1. View the candidate’s interview from the Events section of their Candidate Profile.
2. Click the Cancel button for the event interview.
3. A modal will open with a selected Cancel candidate’s registration for Hiring Event checkbox. Deselect this box to prevent the cancelation of the candidate’s registration for the event; otherwise, leave it checked to cancel the candidate’s registration.
4. Review and edit the cancellation message if preferred.
5. Click Confirm in the bottom right corner of the modal.

The candidate’s status will then update to Event Interview Canceled if only their interview was canceled or Event Interview Canceled and then Event Registration Canceled if both their interview and registration were canceled.
