This guide outlines the process for integrating individual Google calendar accounts.
Client documentation
Please review this integration documentation to learn more about the scheduling integration with Google.
Configuration
Room Booking does not work with the Google calendar integration. A potential workaround is adding rooms as users when scheduling.
Step #1: Set integration settings in Client Setup
User with full access to Client Setup can complete the below steps.
- Select the All Apps menu in the top left corner of the header and then Settings from its drop-down menu.
- When the Settings page opens, select Client Setup under the Paradox Tools section.
- From the left panel of Client Setup, scroll down to and open the Scheduling section.
- Under Email Technology, select Google as the email technology and as the employee's calendar option for the onboarding url.
- Save the page.
This process will allow the user to log in to their Google account to view and consent to the permissions of the application.
Step #2: Individual user connection
Users can individually authenticate their own calendars in My Calendar.
- Select the All Apps menu in the top left corner of the header and then My Calendar/Calendars from its drop-down menu.
- Your My Calendar will then open. If it opens to a different calendar, open your My Calendar by selecting My Calendar from the left panel.
- In the upper-right corner above the calendar, select the calendar's action menu, or ellipses, and then Calendar Settings.
- Select Integrated Solutions in the left panel of the new page that opens.
- Select Google.
- Log in to your calendar account through OAuth.
- Consent to the application permissions to view your calendar information.
- Choose whether you want to sync your Paradox calendar’s timezone to match your connected calendar’s timezone or not by selecting one of the following options:
- Keep Current Timezone keeps their current Paradox timezone.
-
Sync Timezone updates their Paradox timezone to match their connected calendar.
-
Notes:
- If no selection is made, the timezone sync is enabled by default.
- Paradox then checks and updates the user’s time zone each time it pulls free/busy data from the connected calendar, as long as the time zone sync setting is enabled.
