Sending an AI contact card to employees
Table of Contents
This feature is only available when Employee Communications is enabled for your account.
Employees can be sent a contact card from your AI Assistant the first time that they receive a message from the employee AI phone number. This allows employees to save the assistant’s information and number in their devices.
Configuration
To enable the sending of the contact card, users with full access to the A.I. Assistants permission can complete the steps below:
- Select the All Apps menu and then CMS in its drop-down menu.
- From the left panel, open the AI Assistants section and then Employee Assistants.
- Select the default AI Assistant’s card in the list.
- In the slide-out drawer that opens, find the Contact Card section at the bottom.
- Toggle on Send Contact Card.
- The drawer will then populate with the content included in this card. Review the details and make edits, as needed.
- (Optional, but highly encouraged) To send a custom message directly after the content card is shared, toggle on Send a custom message directly after the contact card is shared listed right before the preview at the bottom of the drawer.
- A text box will display where you can view the default message and make any changes.
- Preview the contact card at the bottom of the drawer and make any changes, as needed.
- Select Save Changes in the bottom right corner of the drawer.
Only employees that have not previously been contacted by the AI assistant will receive the contact card.
Employee experience
When an employee has not previously been contacted by your AI Assistant, they will then receive messages from your assistant in the following order:
- Welcome Compliance message
- Contact message
- Contact card
- Content that triggered outreach to employee (typically a communication)
Tapping the contact card will open a preview of the contact, which the user can save to their device.
In practice the contact card message usually delivers last as files take longer to send than text messages.
The contact card preview on iOS has a poor design and is a known issue caused by Twilio.
