This guide outlines the process for integrating both a global Office 365 account and individual Office 365 accounts.

    Client documentation

Please review this integration documentation to review scheduling integrations with Office 365, Exchange Online, or a Hybrid Deployment.

You can also access this dedicated Microsoft 365 calendar integration documentation.

    Global integration configurations

Work with your CS Representative to set up the global configuration for your Office 365 calendar.

If your team is using the Azure Admin Consent integration, then you will have to separately integrate their MS Teams for virtual interviews.

Room Booking Logic, if applicable: When connecting new Service Accounts, we automatically also connect the your Service Accounts to your Assistant Calendars. Because of this, you will need to configure Custom Email Alerts. Learn more here.

    Individual authentication

Users will be able to individually authenticate their own calendars if a global integration method is not utilized for the account as a whole. A very similar process will be taken where the user will need to complete the below steps:

    1. Select the All Apps menu in the top left corner of the header and then My Calendar/Calendars from its drop-down menu.
    2. Your My Calendar will then open. If it opens to a different calendar, open your My Calendar by selecting My Calendar from the left panel.
    3. In the upper-right corner above the calendar, select the calendar's action menu, or ellipses, and then Calendar Settings.
    4. Select Integrated Solutions in the left panel of the new page that opens.
    5. Select Outlook.
    6. Log in to your calendar account through OAuth.
    7. Consent to the application permissions to view your calendar information.
    8. Choose whether you want to sync your Paradox calendar’s timezone to match your connected calendar’s timezone or not by selecting one of the following options:
      • Keep Current Timezone keeps their current Paradox timezone.
      • Sync Timezone updates their Paradox timezone to match their connected calendar.
        • Notes:
          • If no selection is made, the timezone sync is enabled by default.
          • Paradox then checks and updates the user’s time zone each time it pulls free/busy data from the connected calendar, as long as the time zone sync setting is enabled.

Manual time zone updates in Paradox automatically disable calendar sync. If the sync is disabled, you must update your time zone manually to ensure scheduling accuracy.

Paradox Admins will need to set the client’s Email Technology to Outlook in Client Setup.

    Auto-connect on the fly logic

At times, it may take awhile for users' calendars to start functioning after connecting the service account. In order to assist with this, when a user is selected as an interviewer for an interview, the system will prioritize connecting that users calendar to read their free or busy time blocks so that the scheduling action can occur in real time.

The system will still follow the automatic calendar connection logic that it currently has but will make sure to connect specific users' calendars as needed for scheduling purposes.

    Timezone synchronization

When configuring a Service Account or Admin Consent integration with Microsoft 365/Office 365, you can set whether user timezones should sync with Outlook.

By default, timezone sync is enabled. You can configure this with the Default to Calendar Timezone Sync setting, accessible when configuring the Microsoft 365 integration in All Apps > Connected Apps. The setting syncs Paradox timezone with O365 Working Hours timezone each time the calendar is accessed.

If a user manually changes their timezone in Paradox, timezone sync with Outlook is turned off for that user.
