Microsoft 365 (O365) integration overview
Table of Contents
This integration simplifies connecting your organization's Microsoft 365 accounts with Paradox. It provides a single, secure setup path and supports managing multiple Microsoft tenants within a single client account. This self-service approach gives you more control over your connection, making it faster and easier to set up reliable scheduling for your talent acquisition process.
Use cases
- For Microsoft 365 Admins: Easily set up and manage the integration without needing Paradox support, maintaining full control over security settings and credentials.
- For Enterprise Customers: Connect and manage multiple Microsoft 365 tenants from a single Paradox account.
- For Recruiters and Hiring Managers: Ensure interview invites and Microsoft Teams meeting links are sent reliably and automatically.
- For IT/Security Teams: Maintain control over application credentials, grant necessary permissions in Azure, and receive proactive notifications about the integration's health.
Configuration
To connect to your Microsoft 365 account, follow the steps listed here.
Tenant actions
You can modify tenant settings after the initial setup. In the Connected Apps section of the Integration Center, select the action menu, or ellipses, for the Microsoft 365 tile, and then select Tenant Connection Details.
In the modal that opens, you can take these actions:
- Add New Tenant – Allows you to connect an additional Microsoft 365 tenant.
- Settings – Allows you to edit your global tenant settings, taking you back to the Configure Calendar Invitations step.
For each individual tenant, you can complete the following actions:
- Edit Tenant Configuration – Allows you to return to the Tenant Overview to review and edit settings as needed. Ensure you save and confirm all changes.
- Reconnect Tenant – Allows you to re-establish the connection.
- Disconnect Tenant – Allows you to remove the tenant connection.
When editing a tenant configuration, if you change a setting that affects permissions or authentication (such as Enable Microsoft Team Meetings), the Tenant Overview step highlights steps where action is needed with the Review Required badge.
- For Custom Apps: If new permission scopes are required, the updated list is displayed, and you must update the permissions in the Azure Portal before proceeding to re-authenticate.
- Re-authentication: You must select Sign in with Microsoft to re-authenticate and verify that all current, required permissions have been granted.
General logic and troubleshooting
- Missing permissions: If required permissions are not granted in Azure, you will see an error. Follow the instructions to update permissions and try again.
- Authentication cancelled: If you close the Microsoft sign-in window or do not complete consent, you will see an error. Click Try Again to restart.
- Invalid credentials: Double-check your App ID, Tenant ID, and Client Secret for typos or expired values.
- Notification recipients: At least one recipient must be selected to proceed.
- Multiple tenants: You can connect and manage more than one tenant. Each tenant’s settings are managed separately.
Permissions
Users will need full access to the Connected Apps permission (under the Integration Center parent permission) in order to set up the Microsoft 365 integration.
