This September 9th release includes the following enhancements. These updates are subject to change until the day of the release.

    Happy September! 🎉

If you're a hiring manager or recruiter, the following updates will have an impact on your system processes and experience. It is important to note that this may differ depending on your account features and individual system access.

Please contact your Company/Account Admin to receive supporting documentation around these updated processes.

Depending on your account configuration and user role permissions, these features may not be visible or available to use.

    Paradox Analytics

Journey permissions, Job Search conversion metrics, and Advanced Shifts reporting

    Advanced shifts reporting

    Job Search Conversion Rate metrics

Paradox Analytics reports, dashboards, and stories has three updates this month:

    • Journey stage and status permissions now apply to reports, so users only see the candidates they're allowed to see;
    • Advanced Shifts fields are available in Report Builder and dashboards, so teams can report on hiring at the shift level; and
    • Job Search Conversion Rate logic was refined based on user feedback, so funnel and search-to-apply numbers line up.

What this means for you: If you build reports, dashboards, or stories in Paradox Analytics, you can:

    • View hiring data aligned with the same stage and status access you already have in Journeys.
    • Job Search Conversion metrics Understand real search-to-apply behavior in your account through updated Job Search Conversion metrics.
    • Report on advanced shift details for your jobs.

How to access: No setup is required. This feature is automatically available.

    To access:

    1. In the upper-left corner, select All Apps, and then select Analytics.
    2. Complete the following actions for each update, as needed:
      • Open a report or dashboard you already use. Journey permissions and access levels now apply automatically on supported system template reports, including Candidate Journey Status, Candidate Wide, Assessments, Talent Community, Campaigns, Interviews, Candidate Surveys, User Surveys, Care Messages, Candidate User Forms, and Events.
      • To report on shifts, add Advanced Shifts fields from the reporting field list when Advanced Shifts is enabled.
      • If you use the Job Search Conversion Rate metric, refresh a report or wait for the next scheduled export so saved views pick up the updated calculation.

    Candidate Inbox

Simplified default segments and additional filters

The Candidate Inbox left navigation pane now displays three default folders: Action Needed, All Candidates, and View by Job. Segments that were removed from the default list are available as filters you can stack or combine. The Action Needed segment uses the same filtering experience as All Candidates, including new filters for opt-ins, Q&A, spam, unsubscribed, and unknown candidates.

What this means for you: You can stay on the Action Needed segment and filter by job, status, location, or the new categories to see who is waiting on you, without switching segments or scrolling through an entire list. You can recreate old default-segment views with filters and save a segment to reuse the next day. Your existing custom segments remain unchanged.

How to access: No setup is required. This feature is automatically available to use.

    To access:

    1. Navigate to the Candidate Inbox.
    2. Using the left pane, select Action Needed, and select the filtering icon.
    3. In the filtering modal, select the desired filters. You can select the following new filters:
      • Candidate Opt-Ins (Job Alerts and Job Search)
      • Q&A (Candidate Q&A and Employee Q&A)
      • Spam (Yes, candidate is marked as spam and No, candidate is not marked as spam)
      • Unsubscribed (Yes, candidate is unsubscribed and No, candidate is not unsubscribed)
      • Unknown Candidates (Yes, candidate is unknown and No, candidate is not unknown)

    Conversational Events

Event name per occurrence for recurring events

    Event manager experience

    Event Builder

You can set a unique Public Event Name and Internal Event Name for one date in a recurring series without changing other occurrences or creating a separate one-off event.

What this means for you: When one date in a series needs a different title (for example, a campus day or role-specific session), Event Managers and candidates see a name that matches what is happening that day. You keep a single recurring schedule and registration setup.

How to access: No setup is required. This feature is automatically available to use.

    To access:

    1. Select the All Apps menu in the upper-left corner of the header and then Events in its drop-down menu.
    2. Using the left pane, select Recurring Events.
    3. Open the desired recurring event.
    4. In the upper-right corner, select the settings icon, and then select Edit Event Occurrence.
    5. Edit the Public Event Name and Internal Event Name for that occurrence.
      • Note: You can also select Internal Event Name is the same as Public Event Name to standardize both event names.
    6. In the upper-right corner, select Next.
    7. Save your changes to the recurring event.

Learn more about creating an event.

    Job Management

    Private jobs

Private Jobs now lets you keep a job open and active in My Jobs while you hide it from your career site and job boards and hire through a shareable private link instead of a public posting.

What this means for you: You no longer need to turn a job off just to share a private posting link while your team is still filling the role.

How to access: Setup is required. This feature is automatically available to configure.

    To access:

Users creating or editing jobs in the Job Builder and My Jobs (when Private Jobs is enabled):

    1. Navigate to the Job Manager or Approvals.
    2. Open an existing job, or create a new job.
    3. In the Overview step, enable the following settings as needed:
      • Private
      • Allow employees to edit the Private setting in My Jobs
    4. In the upper-right corner, select Save.
    5. Publish the job.

Users sharing a private posting link:

    1. Navigate to My Jobs.
    2. Select the action menu, or ellipses, to the right of the toggle.
    3. Select Copy External Private Posting Link to copy the link to your clipboard.

Learn more about private jobs, turning a job Private in My Jobs, and copying job posting links.

Watch a live demo walkthrough from the product manager.

This feature is only available if it is enabled at the account level. Contact your Company/Account Admin for more information.

    Platform

    Mask PII in alert messages

Attribute masking now extends to alerts and email notifications. Attributes marked Masked or Encrypted display the same way in alerts as they do everywhere else in the platform, and existing unmask permissions still apply.

What this means for you: Masked or encrypted in attributes in Scheduling Alerts, Candidate Message Alerts, Workflow Alerts, Web Alerts, and other newly covered alert types no longer display in full text when your user role does not have permission to view the data. Masked values display as ****, and user roles with permission to view unmasked data in the candidate profile have access to data in alerts.

How to access: No setup is required. This feature is automatically available to use.

    To access:

    1. Navigate to the channel where you receive alerts (web, email, SMS).
    2. Open an alert that includes candidate profile data.
      • Note: Masked values display as **** when you do not have full access to the System Attributes > Attribute Visibility > Candidate Profile permission. Contact your Company/Account Admin for more information.

    Scheduling

User calendar time format (12-hour or 24-hour)

We’ve added a setting in User Calendar Settings that allows users to select their preferred time format (12 Hour or 24 Hour) for user scheduling communications. We built this to align scheduling messages with candidate and time zone preferences.

What this means for you: You can view scheduling times in communications sent to you in the time format you prefer, which helps when you work across regions or teams. If you do not adjust this setting, it stayed fixed to the account default.

How to access: Setup is required. This feature is automatically available to configure.

Users with access to Calendar Settings in My Calendar/Calendars (Interview Settings)

    To access:

    1. Select the All Apps menu in the upper-left corner of the header and then My Calendar/Calendars in its drop-down menu.
    2. When My Calendar/Calendars opens, select the action menu, or ellipses, and then select Calendar Settings.
