Talent communities are the ways in which you can group candidate hiring pipelines. Use this guide to create a Talent Community in the CEM.
Create a talent community
Users with full access to the Community Management permission will be able to complete the below steps.
- Select All Apps in the top left corner of the header and then Community Management in its drop-down menu.
- From the upper-right corner of the All Communities section, select + New Community in the top right corner of the page.
Details section
- The Details section will then open. Enter in a name for the community.
- Choose whether you want to create a private or public community. Enabling the Private Community setting will limit access to selected employees within your organization. If you toggled this on, move to step #6. If you left this setting disabled/turned off, then skip to step #8.
- Click the Configure button.
- Select the Privacy Type of your private community. Options include:
- Full Access: This will allow all users with access to viewing Talent Communities to view this community as well. If you select this option, then skip to step #8.
- Restricted Access: This will limit access to only specific users. If you select this option, then continue to the next step.
- When you select Restricted Access, add the employees that will have access to the community by completing the steps below.
- Click the Add Employees button.
- Select the employees and/or roles who should have access to this community.
- Click Apply.
- Click Save in the bottom right corner of the drawer.
- Select Next in the top right corner of the section.
Jobs section
In the Jobs section, you have the option of setting targeting rules. To do this, define job targeting rules where existing/future jobs that match these rules will be associated with the Talent Community. Today, this does not affect the user’s nor the candidate’s experience with using Talent Community; however, it will be storing these data points for usage in later enhancements.
Conversational ATS process
If you utilize Conversational ATS, then complete the below steps.
- Select + Add Targeting.
- A slide-out drawer will then open. Click Add Custom Targeting.
- Note: This will display if you do not have Journey Targeting enabled for your account.
- Create your own defined job targeting rules for this Talent Community.
- Note: You can add as many job targeting rules as you want in this section; however, you are not allowed to have rules that involve any overlap between jobs.
- Select Next in the top right corner of the section.
Integrated ATS process
If you utilize Conversational ATS, then complete the below steps.
- Select + Add Targeting.
- A slide-out drawer will then open. Click Add Preset Targeting.
- Use targeting defined in Journey Targeting to define the job targeting rules for this Talent Community.
-
Notes:
- If you see Add Custom Targeting instead, this is due to the fact that your account does not use available presets. Because of this, you are able to create custom targeting instead.
- You will not be allowed to edit these presets in Talent Communities, as they can only be edited in Journey Targeting.
-
Notes:
- Select Next in the top right corner of the section.
Talent Community Journey section
- In the Talent Community Journey section, select the Talent Community Journey set up in Journeys. This journey will be tied to this community and every candidate that joins it.
- The selected Talent Community Journey will then populate the page. Select any forms, scheduling details, assessments, or any details specific to candidates in this journey.
- Select Next in the top right corner of the step.
Screening section
- You have the option of adding any screening questions that your AI Assistant should ask the candidate. If the candidate selects this community as their answer to the Community of Interest (COI) question, they will be asked any screening questions unique to this community following their response to the COI question. To do this,
- Click + Add Question.
- Enter a name for the question.
- Enter the preferred question.
- Select the Reply Type.
- Tie a System Attribute to this question, if preferred.
- Select the Data Processing Method for validation.
- Click Save.
- Repeat these steps for all questions.
- You also have the option of adding outcomes, which will determine what status a candidate should be moved into based on their answers to the screening questions. Click into the Default Outcome to configure this first and then you can add additional outcomes by selecting the + Add Outcome button and entering in the necessary criteria.
- Note: When you change the Talent Community Journey in a Talent Community, then you will have the option to edit or delete questions used in the outcome.
- Once finished, if you’d like this community to be active and available upon creation, select Activate in the lower-left corner.
- Note: At any point, you can mark this community as inactive by selecting Deactivate in the lower-left corner.
- Click Save in the top right corner of the section to save the new community.
- For communities that you want to be active, you will need to activate then. Learn more here.
- Repeat this process for all talent communities.
